EACC Denies Sending Detectives to Lawyer John Khaminwa’s Office

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has dismissed reports that it sent its officers to lawyer John Khaminwa’s office.

In a statement on Sunday, EACC termed the reports as fake and malicious, insisting that it did not conduct any operation on Saturday.

“EACC wishes to notify the public that it did not conduct any operation yesterday and media reports suggesting that EACC visited the offices of John Khaminwa Senior Counsel are unfounded,” the agency said.

This comes after the veteran attorney expressed fears for his life after two people purporting to be EACC officers visited his office on Saturday morning.

“They claimed that they were from the anti-corruption agency but I doubted them, they did not impress me as human beings who are holding State offices. What surprised me was that they also asked for some money from one of my assistants,” Khaminwa said.

Khaminwa, 84, believes the visit was an attempt to intimidate him in the wake of his submissions during the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) appeal case that concluded on Friday.

Khaminwa castigated President Kenyatta for disobeying court orders, saying the courts should not hear him. The senior counsel believes these remarks may have rattled some influential quarters.

“When you have a president who is not obeying court orders; when you have a president who is demeaning judges before the public, this court must stand firm and tell him ‘No, we shall not hear you, we shall not give you orders at all,’” Khaminwa submitted before the 7-judge bench.

Its clear Khaminwa is hallucinating and perhaps behind this. Khaminwa the days of Moi are long gone. No need to pull stunts. Go back to your bestie, Arap Mashamba tell him you can not deliver. The wind of change will come from a very unlikely source. Wheelbarrow manenos will not pass

He is a just a very old senile man! Just think how grand mulla will look like at 84! Maybe men turn into apes 🦧 when they grow old. Kaminwa has not disappointed one bit!

It's only in Kenya and Africa as a whole where when things are black they will try and prove to us that they are white.

Kaminwa thinks he has natural impunity because he is a lawyer! The problem with the Kenya courts is they have lost credibility because they are free agents of corruption with justice for sale! The judiciary is the most corrupt branch of government but they want to bad mouth those who hugely bribe them!

@ Lina,I have read numerous reports that according to Transparecy International, police is the most corrupt branch of government.Anyway the two are intertwined. One cannot be separated from the other.
Not sure if you recall that afew years ago one of our dailies printed a justice for sale list indication how much one deeded to bribe in order to evade justice. I was shocked. One could avoid murders for afee.
The coming charges on Obado will prove or dispove the existence of justice for sale.We know he was behind the killing of his side chick, and the unborn baby. We also know that he embezzled county money. I say he will get a slap on the wrist.

Comrade maxiley,
You have to understand that Kenya is a police state, just like Zimbabwe was under Mugabe.
INTIMIDATION AND MURDERS ARE THE ORDER OF THE DAY.
LET'S GOT BACK TO THE UNSOLVED MURDERS.
TOM MBOYA, PINTO, JM, MUGE, SAITOTI ETC ETC...
Think about what Kenneth Matiba went through, Anyona, Raila, JARAMOGI...etc..
IT'S TIME FOR KENYANS TO WAKE UP.

Whoever that went to Kaminwa’s office went there because he was not impressed by kaminwa as someone holding a legal license! This real old man looks like a small monkey! Why I do not know because he is ugly!
