Kenyan Mother Spends Sh44,500 on Uniform for Her Quadruplets

A mother stunned Kenyans after revealing that she spent Sh44,500 on buying school uniforms for her quadruplets.
Through Facebook, Divinar Joseph shared a receipt of the items she purchased for her four kids including shirts, skirts, trousers, sweaters, fleece jackets, tracksuits, P.E Tshirts, socks, ties, and P.E shorts.
She indicated that the amount spent is on one item per child, meaning she will have to part with more money should they need extra pairs.
“In case you are feeling overwhelmed. Hope my uniform bill gives you hope. Hii receipt nimepewa niende nilale nayo kwanza,” Divinar wrote.
Divinar has been homeschooling her quadruplets as it is cheaper, but she was forced to enroll them in an institution following an Education Ministry directive that all CBC pupils must attend school to be issued with a Nemmis number.
“I am posting this so that some of you can stop complaining. This is the life of multiple parents in a nutshell,” she added.
She also noted that she paid a school fee of Sh50,000 for her first-born daughter and a total of Sh136,000 for her quadruplets.

The struggle is real! Na bado! Wonder if she’s a single parent or has a supportive husband. Such families deserve some financial assistance from the government and or the willing philanthropists. How can she be contacted?

@GG imho that would really open up a can of worms and it sounds like this lady is not asking for anything from anybody which is as it should be. Out of curiosity, at what point would the government step in terms of number of children? If the government steps in, do they have a say in how you raise your children, if not why not and how much of a say? Would this include all economic classes or only the poor? If one persists in producing children kama panya and aiming for 22, can the government step in and force a solution and withdraw support? If the births are due to fertility treatments, is the government still responsible? Lastly if a couple chooses one child or none, why do they have to foot the bill for those who have chosen otherwise? If you choose to procreate, you need to be prepared for the consequences which this lady clearly was.

@GG, it makes me feel a certain kind of way when everything turns to a "harambee" for those society considers deserving. When I see the spirit of kuomba omba (and this lady is clearly not doing so), I always wonder why we disregard those without a voice...the street homeless families in Kenya? The tube is awash with Kenyan programmes parading people who are ready to wash their dirty laundry in exchange to harambee. The fabric of our culture and pride is fast rotting away.
