Popular Comedian MC Jessy Steps Down for His Opponent in South Imenti MP Race

Popular comedian Jasper Muthomi, alias MC Jessy, has shelved his bid for the Imenti South parliamentary seat.

Muthomi, who was eyeing the seat under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party, stepped down from the race in favor of his competitor Mwiti Kathaara.

Deputy President William Ruto, who is the UDA presidential candidate, said Muthomi will now take up a role in his presidential campaign team.

"MC Jessy (Jasper Muthomi) will join the presidential campaign team after postponing his parliamentary bid in favor of Mwiti Kathaara for the South Imenti Seat," Ruto said in a statement posted on Twitter.

The comedian launched his bid for the seat on January 19th, seeking to replace incumbent South Imenti MP Kathuri Murungi, who was first elected in 2013.

“It’s now clear where the vision is heading. After many days of consultative meetings with my South Imenti people, I have officially been invited to join UDA. The groundwork that has been done has finally landed on the side of the winning team,” Muthomi announced at the time.

Pole sana Mc Jessy. Your dreams cut short after choosing to dip yourself into this madness of politics just like Hussein Mohamed and jicho pevu who were once respected journalist.

Ruto is doing master stroke political strategy. Embrace the weak and use them domestically. No muscle goes to waste.
My issue is the man of nowadays don't want to fight like real men of yesterday. Feminization of Adam's sons

Is this the same Mwiti for South Imenti whose daughter got married to the "Flamboyant" Luo man turned Gold scammer who is very close to Ruto. Fisi ni wengi. Wakenya Vote for people who have the Country's best interest at heart, not merciless, uncouth self-centered nepotistic leaders. Hawa watawakula bila huruma
