President Uhuru Holds Talks with US Army General Stephen Townsend

President Kenyatta on Monday held talks with United States Army General Stephen Townsend, who paid him a courtesy call at State House, Nairobi.
State House said the discussion between Kenyatta and Gen. Townsend, who is the Commander of the U.S. Africa Command, centered on peace and security in the Horn of Africa region, with a special focus on Somalia.
Kenyatta expressed appreciation for the cooperation between Kenya and the US on security matters, particularly in the fight against terrorism.
“We appreciate the work we have done in collaboration with the U.S. Africa Command regarding peace and security in the region. We look forward to continuing the partnership,” President Kenyatta told Gen. Townsend.
On his part, Gen. Townsend assured President Kenyatta of a continued partnership between the US and the Kenyan military. Gen. Townsend was to State House by Eric Kneedler, the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Nairobi.
Also present at the meeting were Kenya’s Chief of Defense Forces Gen. Robert Kibochi and Head of Public Service Dr. Joseph Kinyua.

You are so right. China is the problem that is brewing behind closed doors. Russia is another non healing USA ulcer that needs care. Politics in Kenya is the boiling pot that the USA needs to make sure that it does not derail towards socialisms or communism.
