Gachagua: Martha Karua Showed Kibaki the Middle Finger and Quit Gov’t

UDA party presidential running mate Rigathi Gachagua has blasted Nark-Kenya leader Martha Karua for accusing Deputy President William Ruto of disrespecting President Kenyatta.

Speaking during a church service at St. Thomas Apostle in Meru on Sunday, Gachagua said Karua has no moral authority to lecture Ruto on how to respect Uhuru, adding that she has never supported the president in her political career.

He pointed out that Ruto has stood with Uhuru since 2013 and understands the president better than Karua, who is the Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party presidential running mate.

"My sister, you have no capacity or moral authority to lecture William Ruto about respecting Uhuru Kenyatta. You wouldn't know how to respect Uhuru Kenyatta because you have never respected or supported him," Gachagua said.

"You would need a seminar ukuje mimi nikukalishe chini nikufundishe njia ya kuunga mkono na kupatia yeye heshima kwa sababu tunaelewa." he added.

Gachagua, who is the MP for Mathira Constituency, noted that unlike Ruto, Karua has a history of showing no respect to other leaders including the late former president Mwai Kibaki.

"Although Kibaki honored Karua and appointed her to the Cabinet… when he got in trouble with Raila Odinga…kumsumbua, Martha Karua walked out on Kibaki. Si mnakumbuka? She showed Kibaki the middle finger. Na akatoka kwa serikali," Gachagua said.

Karua has in the recent past taken a dig at Ruto for what she termed as behaving as a co-president in President Uhuru's administration.

"Any leader who threatens an individual, be it the president or any other person, is not worth being elected as a leader," Karua said in reference to Ruto.

"Everybody must understand their responsibilities. If you are called deputy president, be like one. There cannot be two chairmen in one meeting. There can never be two presidents at a time in a country. There can never be two governors in a county. If you are a deputy, please be a deputy and not co-president,” she said in a separate occasion.

Why is Gachagua lying in a broad day light about Ruto not respecting Uhuru? Go lie to the kalenjins Rigathi.

We will not vote for you and Ruto because you are thieves that will run our country’s coffers dry! You have already stolen enough.

Rigathi has no agenda but attack others. Just pass the mic to Rigathi to continue destroying UDAku. He is a good gift to bring Ruto down. His run away mouth diarrheas like a lose butt.

Martha showed Kibaki the middle finger when Kibaki demonstrated unwillingness fight corruption. Gachagua on the other hand killed his fellow Agīkūyūs once ordered by Moi to do so. Clearly Martha has a moral spine to stand for truth and justice while Gachagua does not.
