Kenyan Man Dies after Falling Down a Waterfall in Malaysia

A Kenyan man in Malaysia has passed away after falling down a waterfall in Langkawi Island.

27-year-old Kamudi Valentine Muthomi, who hails from Nairobi slipped and fell off the Telaga Tujuh waterfall while on a tour to the site. Kamudi fell down the waterfall, which is about a nine metre drop and sustained severe head injuries, leading to his death.

Langkawi Fire and Rescue Department public relations officer Mohamad Mustakim Mukhtar confirmed that the man died on the scene. His body was handed to authorities for further action.

“Seven firemen including an EMRS unit were dispatched to the location. The victim’s body was taken down on a stretcher before being handed to the police for further action,” he said.
