A Kenyan woman in the United States reportedly died after she was involved in what her family said was a hit-and-run crash in Phoenix, Arizona.
31-year-old Sheila Jeptanui Chuchuney's family said she succumbed to injuries moments after being taken to a local hospital.
Sheila lived in Mombasa, Kenya before her family relocated to the US.
The deceased is the daughter of Everlyn Lelei of Phoenix, Arizona, and the late Bentham Kipleting Chuchuney.
The family has appealed for funds to help in her burial arrangements. Financial assistance can be wired through Mary Waweru, the treasurer of the funeral organizing committee, through Cash App (402) 617-4471.
Tentative burial date has been set for January 6th.

What the fuck is going on in Arizona??!!!
This should be happening to the Hombres not us!!!!!
Comeon @Anonimous. This is not the time and place for foul mouthing. And you bring your racist comments too??? Rest in Peace Sister.
those hombres are a nuisance to all other races. They are very nepotistic, small minded and prejudiced. They act like they are entitled to be here in america when in actual sense they came here illegally. I am glad Trump is scraping the DACA & building that wall. These guys can go back home and speak spanish to each other over there instead of insisting on speaking it here in america
Gone too soon! Saddening. May the Lord grant her family and friends some peace and strength to move on as they fight for justice.
I urge the family to also consult with their/her car insurance rep. Under a "no-fault" auto insurance system - also known as "personal injury protection" or "PIP" - the insurance company ("insurer"), automatically pays for some of a car accident victim's losses, including "death benefits," which include things like funeral and burial expenses.
These payments are made regardless of who was at fault for the accident.
In addition, some death benefits are often called "survivors benefits," because they are paid to the family or "dependents" the deceased person ("decedent"). These include:
Accidental death benefits
Continuation of lost earnings
Periodic "pension" payments, and
Replacement services payments
To recover no-fault death benefits, the decedent's death has to be directly and clearly connected to the use or operation of a motor vehicle.
