This is just a formality to announce the position. am sure they have mtu wao in place ..just saying. Is this open to people in kenya or the ones already in USA

I think only people here because they say one has to have a valid work permit issued in US. But the embassy can speak for itself. Btw, when was the last time a position was advertised by the embassy?

Color me confused. If you have a work permit, then you will ask to be paid at least $2426 per month which by Kenya standards is high and low by DMV standards. Those who would do this would be students on student visas. If you work at the embassy, it is technically Kenya so do you even need a work permit to work there? It's odd they would even post this for all to see.

This might be a requirement by Trump that all menial jobs be filled by americans.

It could be that the BBI team is coming and the House is in a Big mess; especially the Office and its Files. And someone has to Clean up the Mess; then the Rest will be History again after BBI team goes back. Even someone could Already have been pocketing some ghost "Clerk's" pay.

The job requirement says assist in answering the phones, not actually answer the phones. I conclude that means figuring out where the hold button and forward to voicemail buttons are. As for returning calls, we can all dream, can't we?

Fall all Iknow, someeone from Kenya has been given this job. He she bellow to the family of movers and shakers of Kenya. This is one way for their sons and daughters to come to this land of opportunities.

@maxiley - you said it best! Those interested in the US are just being hoodwinked!

A secretary position normally pays around $35,000.00 or less in the US. DC is an expensive town as far as cost of living index is concerned.

This amount could be appetizing to someone in Kenya but not in the US!

Can someone take the initiative to “power clean the outside walls” of the Kenya Embassy building in Washington DC?

Just look at the black Muhura that has build all over the building; possibly over a long period of time! Any maintenance team here?

The building looks very dirty outside; I wonder how it looks on the inside!
