Kenyan Nurse Found Dead in Her Car at a Parking Lot in Dallas, Texas

Kenyan Nurse Found Dead in Her Car at a Parking Lot in Dallas, Texas

A Kenyan nurse has died under unclear circumstances in Texas. Beatrice Danielle Dagosi Ogutu was found dead inside her car at a parking lot in Dallas, Texas on August 21st.

Before she was discovered dead, CCTV cameras showed her walking to the car and behaving like the car had some problem. This prompted security people to go there to find out whether she needed some help but Beatrice told them she had already phoned a friend for assistance.

Later on, some people saw her sleeping in the car with the window pushed down a little. They opened the vehicle and discovered she was unresponsive and tried to revive her but it was too late.

    Was it carbon monoxide poisoning?
    RIP sis!

  2. GUEST1Aug 25, 2021

Yes it could be Carbon monoxide. But also: 1. Lots of Nurses are being Overworked in these Days of Corona variant. 2. Summer heat can Lead to heat Exhaustion, heat Stroke, and Death.

  3. KhaembaAug 25, 2021

Quite sad that she died! But, she was working as a nurse (RN) but now the family is asking for some money to ship her home! What happened to the money that she was making as RN?

  4. Cecilia guruAug 25, 2021

If you don't have anything good to say just zippy it up. We all work but will not bury ourself. May God give you some wisdom i pray.

  5. GUEST1Aug 26, 2021

You don't know 99% of LUHYAS are Idiots; and above all, Hypocrites and HATERS? Now you know.

  6. GuestAug 27, 2021

99% is a bit on the higher side and unfair😡. Anyway, RIP Beatrice and pole to family

  7. TausiAug 27, 2021

Guest 1. It takes one to know one, therefore you are also a hypocrite and a hater..

  8. NjokiAug 28, 2021

How did Luhyas become haters simply because @khaemba asked a simple question? Now all over sudden you have joined the “me too” movement with @guru to insult others instead of answering @khaemba’s question? I’m asking the same question too because you are asking for money, and death has become a huge business by certain diaspora elements - conmen!

  9. MarwaAug 28, 2021

    Meza wembe @guru!

  10. RotichAug 28, 2021

A typical idiotic kikuyu who is self defeated and dies not even understand the question @khaemba posed! Ok! He just asked what happened to the money she was earning as a nurse? Is it that difficult to understand that @guru? Let me break it down even further for your simple kikuyu mind to assimilate! Someone here is asking for money to be sent to a certain number! Does it mean that the dead did not save any money that can be used for her burial expenses?

  11. MuthioraAug 28, 2021

When I first read @khaemba’s question; I got mad and thought how cold hearted is @khaemba for asking such a question! Then I read it the second and the third time! Finally I thought, well, at least this guy is asking a thought provoking question few would dare to ask! And in now getting myself together fir a a rainy day! @guru, why should @khaemba zippy it up unless you want to fall in the same category when you die? Read his question and digest it’s contents! It is a good question!

  12. WakamauAug 25, 2021

Khaemba if you die today which you are not going to, Do you want to tell us you will have kept your pay check somewhere to be reached and used for your burial?. What a bad question to ask

  13. GUEST1Aug 26, 2021

    Niguo mundu wa nyumba.

  14. Irene SummersAug 25, 2021

Did you really have to say that? Did you know her pockets?? SMH

  15. KhaembaAug 29, 2021

Yes Irene I had to ask that question, lam still asking it severally. Read what I said again before you jump in the fray to attack me! Why not? I BA still would have asked were it you who had died!

  16. WalterAug 25, 2021

She was spending it just like you spend your money too.

  17. KhaembaAug 29, 2021

Marginal propensity to consume plus marginal propensity to save equals the constant of ONE!

I stay on the upper side of saving my money!

You stay on the upper side of consumption to the entire relative entity of constant ONE.

It sure makes a huge difference in the way you and I handle money! So your assumptions are all wrong up to 99.999%!

  18. PeterAug 25, 2021

Bro did you just landed on earth from another planet?

  19. Sarah JowiAug 25, 2021

    Unnecessary comment idiot

  20. HkaAug 25, 2021

@Khaemba What kind of a question is that? You are a very ignorant human being. Rest in peace Beatrice

  21. KhaembaAug 28, 2021

I assume the question is way above your pay grade! You eat to live and live to eat! It is that simple!

  22. DebraAug 25, 2021

    Are you serious!

  23. KhaembaAug 28, 2021

Yes! I am very serious and I want you to be serious with your own life too! You don’t want to be a burden for others after you have left this beautiful world!

  24. BrianAug 25, 2021

    What??????????????

  25. Jomo KAug 25, 2021

    Dont be shallow bwana!

  26. KhaembaAug 28, 2021

How deep do you want me to be? Clean your way of thinking and the rest will follow …..

  27. Kenyan msobaAug 25, 2021

    Such a malicious reaction

  28. Sifu MsafiriAug 25, 2021

Are you for real, dude? If you have nothing meaningful to say just shut your mouth up!

  29. Mang’aaAug 25, 2021

@khaemba is asking a logical question. When you are alive working in diaspora, save money aside for ‘the unexpected’ including death!!! Better still, there are several insurance companies including Kenyan OWNED that offer life insurance and repatriation of remains coverages. Why are Kenyans so reluctant to get these????! There is also basic life insurance given by employers for free for $50k plus and for a few more dollars you can buy one for $300k. You must be real and say it as it is! Stop bashing Khaemba for speaking the truth. And for you ‘beggars’ stop asking for help when you can afford it!! Kama hamuwezi pesa ya kusafirisha kenya, cremate or bury here. NONSENSE. There are more deserving cases where michangos are needed, siyo kwa wadhii wenye hawataki kujipanga when they can!!!’

  30. Kenyatta ChimneyAug 26, 2021

    Woow, Mang'aa, you are really
    an ignorant ling'ang'a.

  31. simkadAug 28, 2021

hehe kenyatta, ati ling'ang'a. deep luhya vocabulary. I laughed so hard.

  32. IsuriAug 29, 2021

    Made me laugh too.

Human beings we are indeed different! But hey, no one is forcing you to give. It is at your own Will to do so. If you are not able to or don’t want to, just be gone about your business. Let the well wishers be. Wote hatujui tutazikwa na nani.

  33. IsuriAug 29, 2021

@ simCard, Made me laugh too.

  34. JoshAug 28, 2021

Please don’t use the Kenyatta name when you are acting like a dummy! Kenya is a very sharp dude! What question did you want asked to make you happy fool?

  35. TotalineAug 29, 2021

    What are you smoking @chimney?

  36. just anaakenyanAug 26, 2021

Mangaa.. Could you list these Kenyan Owned insurance companies here so people can contact them? Otherwise your comment is only half accurate and half helpful.

  37. JoshAug 28, 2021

There are several such insurances available! Leave you number here and I will have a trusted agent contact you! She sell several kinds of insurance vehicles for everything! And it is fairly inexpensive to anyone who wants to plan fir the future! It is a good deal and it offers a peace of mind for you and your family if you have any! No gimmicks!!!!

  38. JoeAug 28, 2021

There many types of life insurance policies out there that are very affordable! I know a very good sales agent and she is not a bluff! Leave your contact here and she will call you!

  39. KhaembaAug 29, 2021

Provide a good contact # and a certified agent with a insurance selling license number will call you! That is if you are interested! She works with all Kenyans of all backgrounds! She is very good in what she does! And she is not a Luhya before you start throwing mud at me again!

  40. JimmyAug 29, 2021

The insurance agent I know is very good at her work! She will conduct a zoom meeting with you upon request and educate you throughly on different life insurance policies! She will tell you the benefits and the down side of each policy and what you get from it at a premium price! I bought mine from her and I am really happy and satisfied!! All she needs is your contact and she will arrangement the meetings!

  41. MoseseAug 27, 2021

it takes time to access the funds plus we don't know who her next of kin is. It will take time for the funds to be released. Power of attorney etcetera etcetera

  42. LucyAug 28, 2021

Did she have a life insurance which is payable upon death? How about a living will deposited by a lawyer or someone?

  43. KhaembaAug 28, 2021

Amen brother @mang’aa! You seem to be the only one who understands my question here!

I ask again! The deceased is a medical nurse in America. RNs make between $28 - $55 per hour depending on the kind of a job they are doing! On average, that hourly pay translates into $70k per annum!

You want to tell me someone earning that kind of money does not save a single dime, or roughly 10% every month?

Diasporas have learned to be scam artist every time death occurs. And that is why I’m asking such a question!

I love all the responses here! Hope all of start living within your means and putting some cash away for a rainy day!

  44. chokoraAug 29, 2021

thank u 4 pointing out her earning power which is basically an assumption. u don't know if she really put in all those hours to make all that money. u don't know if her health got in the way and above all and the most important one u don't know her expenses and expenses of people she was helping out. Not everyone was born with a silver spoon, remember that.

  45. KamauAug 28, 2021

I fully support Khaemba’s question! It is a legitimate question and all those here castigating him need to think twice about @khaemba’s question!

Put you damn emotions to check and ponder that simple question, think about where you are and that future rainy day savings, and then stop throwing stones at khaemba for trying to help you your sleeping mind to wake up!

I guess I will receive a ton load of insults here because I’m a kikuyu supporting a Luhya man/woman with a very good question! It ain’t about tribe, it is about stayed prepared for life events.

A good person does not leave debt to his kins when he/she passes on! He lives wealth for the future generations!

Find out if the person had plans prior to the death , Before you rush out there to ask for monetary help to the entire world!

  46. DanieAug 28, 2021

1.Do you know that unless you are being buried in the states you can’t cash in for funeral expense?
    2. The amount of paperwork and wait time it takes for the beneficiary to get the cash is enormous funeral can’t be held back for that long .
    3. Did you consider that she might not have all the 55K saved to transport her body?

We are grateful and happy you have money saved for your body to be transported back to Kenya and your employer pays your beneficiary in 3days like the bereavement days .

    Let’s all be sensitive
The question might have been good with no malice but the timing was poor .
    God bless us all

  47. MuthembaAug 29, 2021

And this is again where Kenyans go wrong sending a dead body to Kenya! Why can’t that body be buried here in the US? Or better yet be cremated! These are all cheaper options which should be evaluated to minimize the burial costs.

  48. chokoraAug 29, 2021

u speak sense my brotha. all these assumptions regarding money need to stop. Did anyone on this thread personally know her financial struggles? PLEASE ZIP IT UP IF U CAN'T HELP. DON'T BE THICK AND INSENSITIVE!!! Let's give this lady her final respect

  49. MundumugoAug 29, 2021

I'm not an agent so maybe you can answer this is you are one. Doesn't the payout happen from 10 to 60 days assuming no foul play and does the insurance company stipulate how you use the money? None of my policies have any such restrictions. I have them not because I wish to die but because I will but I don't know when. I'm not rich but I have no desire to leave this burden to my family. While it's not for everyone, I stipulated cremation-you should make your wishes known before you can't.

  50. KaswendeAug 26, 2021

Ask forgiveness for asking a stupid question. Rns or not nobody maybe have set aside such funds
    I will pray for you
