Chief Justice David Maraga on Thursday cast his vote in the repeat presidential election in Nyamira County.
Maraga arrived at Bosose polling centre in West Mugirango constituency and cast his ballot at around 1.55pm in the company of his wife.
The President of the Judiciary engaged in a brief conversation with Nyamira County Woman Representative Jerusha Momanyi before proceeding to cast his vote.
Approached by the media for an interview, the Chief Justice declined to take questions and only said he had completed his mission (to vote).
"I have finished my mission and I can now leave," he said. "I am not ready to answer any question," he added.
This comes only hours after the Supreme Court failed to hear a case to postpone the poll filed by three voters due to quorum hitches.
Maraga, together with three other judges of the Supreme Court including Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu, Justices Smokin Wanjala and Isaac Lenaola ruled in favor to nullify the August 8th poll citing illegalities and irregularities and ordered a fresh poll within 60 days.

Didn't he hear our leaders call to stay away? Wonders never cease, some people just don't listen.Aiii.
He does not want to go to the forest in that NASA Gorilla Resistance Movement. Already Orengo is in the forest negotiating with Joseph Kony how they will share the forest
He has a right to vote .Small minded Kenyans as usual cannot tell the difference between Maraga the CJ and Maraga the citizen. This way he remains neutral as nobody knows who he voted for but him.His voting did not help the cause as UK will appear to have been elected by less than 30% of total registered voters .Many people stayed away and that is a telling statement in and off itself.
I hope this guy is shown the door, pronto, on official start of Uhuru's second term. He has caused the country lots of harm and dollars. A coup was smoothly thwarted yesterday! Can he please take judge Odunga, Muli and Lenaola with him as a start.
