An Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Member of Parliament has revealed that National Super Alliance (Nasa) hacked Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) servers.
Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo said NASA infiltrated the electoral commission's servers to access the actual results of the August 8th, 2017 presidential election.
Speaking before the floor of the National Assembly where he made submissions opposing the enactment of the Cyber-crime Bill, the MP argued that the law was unconstitutional as some of its clauses would infringe on the rights of Kenyans.
"Those of us who belong to the Nasa coalition complained in the Supreme Court, which directed that servers be opened, but the commission refused. We were able to access the servers and we published results."
He added: "If this bill was a law we would now be serving jail terms of not less than five years or we would be compelled to pay hefty fines."
Otiende, who was part of the legal team that represented Opposition leader Raila Odinga during the petition challenging President Kenyatta's win in the August elections, further stated that the Bill violates rights to access of information.
"And therefore being a person who would want to access the servers in the future in the unlikely event that IEBC unlawfully refuses to present the information, I would most definitely not support it," he added.
His claims attracted immediate reaction from Jubilee MPs, who demanded he withdraws his remarks.
"It should be put on record that the MP presents evidence that they hacked the servers or withdraws the statement. If they accessed the servers, that is hacking, so they must be held criminally liable. This bill has come in time and we must act or the MP must apologise," Murang'a Women Representative Sabina Chege said.
Nyeri Town MP Wambugu Ngunjiri noted: "If they claim this is not hacking, they should define what hacking is so that we all understand what they did."

OPEN the Servers and we end this conversation.
Simple.
It could be just lies.
OPEN the Servers.
Hacking is one (Bad) thing and Altering the Election Results is another (Worse) thing. So if the (ODM) Hackers Altered the Election Results, then someone should Stand to be Prosecuted.
OPEN. THE. SERVERS.
Hacking is a crime. Otiende Amollo needs to be jailed to be a lesson to others
I think what they call hacking is killing Msado and using his password to access servers. They are murderers and should stand trial.
OPEN the SERVERS.
Cambridge Analytica controlled Envoys should be pushing for this.
Raila Amolo Odinga should be pushing for the Servers to be opened and information made public.
OPEN the Servers.
@guests, these servers that you keep parotting about, are they the same ones that Otiende claimes to have opened? We thought by accepting to work with government you would start behaving like grown-ups?
He could also be lying.
How will we know he is telling the truth?
Huyu Guest3 akisema open the servers again, aki ya nani, nitampiga uppercut, halafu ngumi ya tumbo, then I'll finish him kama Stonecold Steve Austin.
Mr. Otiende Amollo, for someone to hack into a system you need the following info

2 access port
3 gateway
4 Dns Address
5 login user name
6 login password
The following are some details of my computer which has intranet and a firewall and I am requesting Mr Otiende to access the file on the path
D:\videos\users\Rd8412.Ext ***the etension is not correct but there is only one file with that name.
Ip = 192.022.007.217 Port 8080 Hackthe other details mr computer guru. Othewise you just fed the house members with crap.
He did not say he is the one who hacked but team Nasa, their is alot of mischief stealing from the banks being done by the chinese on line, in kenya and other African countries which is not being covered, also eastern Europe,Romania and Russian have good hackers. Who knows may be they hired one. Also compain consulting companies may have their own hackers since most 3rd world countries do not have laws against hacking.
Hacking is criminal. So, now what about Chris Msando? Did NASA murder him? Maybe that's how they received the hack codes. Ha!
