President Kenyatta's eldest son, Jomo will reportedly wed his fiancée Achola Ngobi this weekend.
Reports indicate that the couple’s highly anticipated white wedding will be held on Sunday, April 8th.
“The Jomo Kenyatta wedding will be on April 8th. You guys should look out for it. The venue has been kept hush-hush for obvious reasons,” a source close to the first family told the Star.
The Church wedding for the Head of State's son comes after the couple underwent all traditional Kikuyu marriage rituals, the latest one being, "Kũonio itara" ritual, which involves the bride being taken to the groom's house.
Jomo and Ngobu held a traditional wedding ceremony at the Kenyatta family’s rural home in Ichaweri, Gatundu South in November 2016, which was attended by who is who in Kenya, as residents followed proceedings on a large screen in the expansive home.
Last year, days before President Kenyatta took Oath of Office for his second term in November, the two welcomed a baby girl who was named after First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
The baby girl was delivered at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
