Embu Governor Martin Wambora's Bodyguard Passes Away after Fight with Boda-Boda Operators

A bodyguard attached to Embu Governor Martin Wambora has passed away following a fight with boda-boda operators in Kithimu area, Embu County.

Embu West OCPD Julius Meli says Christopher Njue, 44 succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at Embu Level V hospital, where he was rushed after the Tuesday 2 am fight.

Njue is said to have been involved in an altercation with the boda-boda operators over fare before the disagreement got ugly.

Meli says Njue had gone to visit his friends in Kithimu and was returning to Embu town when the incident happened. A boda-boda operator who was ferrying Njue has since been arrested and is currently being held at the Itabua Police Station.

Police have launched investigations into the incident.
