House Gifted to Single Mother by President Uhuru Handed to Another Family after She Rejected it

A house gifted to a Nakuru single mother whose son cracked President Kenyatta's ribs during a function at 3KR army barracks in Lanet in 2014, will be given to another needy family after they rejected it.

Nakuru North Deputy County Commissioner Mutua Kisilu says he has received instructions to give the two-bedroom house to a more needy family that is ready to appreciate the gift.

“We are set to hand over the house to another family after the family which had been gifted turned down the offer terming it as substandard. Plans to have the new family move in are already underway."

"We were instructed to profile three families from which one would be picked as the new owners. The lucky family is one of a man who has been living with his three disabled children at a local church,” says Kisilu.

The house had been gifted to Damaris Wambui Kamau courtesy of her son Dennis Ngaruiya, but she rejected it on grounds that it was substandard.

NGARUIYA HOUSE REJECTED

“This is a big joke. Look at this house. It has cracks on the outside and looks like a semi-permanent house while President Kenyatta in his wisdom meant well for us as a family,” said Ms. Wambui last week.

“Why is that officer at State House playing tricks on me and my son. One day President Uhuru Kenyatta will know these tricks.”

“Mr. President wanted to leave a memorable mark in the life of my son and I don’t think he meant such shoddy work."

Uhuru Kenyatta wants to kill that whole family with that sub-standard house.
How do you give people a house that has cracks??
A substandard house that will eventually collapse and kill them?

Shame on Uhuru Kenyatta.

Where I come from they say if you are given a cow do not look whether it has teeth. This woman declined the cow because it did not have teeth.

The cow has Cancer.
Why should the woman drink milk from a cow that has no teeth due to its cancer sickness??

You want her and her family to die??

In Kenya houses collapse on people.

@Vicky, the cow was 2 in 1 meaning it has land and a house. There was nothing wrong with the land. She could have accepted the land and look other means to build a better house. The land is more expensive than the house. The current value of that house and land is about 2M. Now she has ended up with nil.

@kenya don't bother to respond to @vicky she or he don't apply logic it's all about hate of uhuru kenyatta. According to Wambui hiyo place ni mbali and doesn't know anybody. She is looking at the house forgetting the value of the land which will last forever. Definitely somebody is misguiding her may be landlord/lady who fears loosing a tenant.
Totally lack of wisdom.

Mr President, this is one of the examples we are encountering in highest order of corruption with your offices. They pocketed the money meant for a decent house and built a very poor house for the family of your choice. All what you needed to do was to go see that house yourself-then you would know.On the flip side, for you Damaris, this was a gift.We never choose gifts. We accept AS IS.You should have taken the house, since you own the plot, try to build a btter one or sell the whole thing. There you did not use your brains right.

I can't believe people on this website who are saying the family should have accepted the house because it was a gift(which means it was free).
free can be very expensive.

The only logical explanation here is:

Uhuru Kenyatta clearly wants to kill that small boy and his whole family.

This is so sad.it is good the woman is listening to her intuition.

Extrajudicial killing is real you guyz.

A gift is not just a gift. The poet said it "Not what we give, but what we share. For the gift without the giver is bare" A king's gift should truly be a gift that befits the giver. Many people sing, dance and entertain the president, his guests and the public but just a few capture his amusement and cracked him with laughter as the little kid did. By the same measure the presidents gift should cause joy to the family and nothing short of that. A president's gift is not alms as some people want to make it. It is a statement about values, leadership, legacy and above all an item belonging in the history books. Accepting such a gift in the name of the president serves only to trivialize the gesture on that material day when that boy caught his attention.

This a good lesson to Kenyan who are used not to appreciate gifts....due to poor misguided advise..the Presiywss not obliged to give...the house however it looks is in a land they could sell and buy wherever they want

Just curious though. And not about accepting and not accepting, why does this house look like it is in space? No neighbors or any sign of life around it. Except of course what appears like Savannah grass...or prairie of the Americas
