14-Year-Old Kenyan Boy Caught on CCTV Stealing Sh1.6 Million Car, Arraigned in Court
A 14-year-old Kenyan boy was arraigned in court for allegedly stealing a car in Kitengela town.
Appearing before Kajiado Law Courts on Wednesday, the minor was charged with the theft of a motor vehicle.
The KCPE candidate was arrested after he was caught on CCTV stealing the vehicle.
In the CCTV footage, the minor is seen walking towards a Toyota Premio car in Milimani area in the company of others and gained access before speeding off.
He was later captured on CCTV cameras inside a mall in Kitengela town busy on his phone.
Police believe the boy was in contact with other co-conspirators who have been terrorizing residents of Kitengela.
He was also charged with a second count of stealing Sh31,000.
“…On the 17th day of June 2019 at Milimani area in Kitengela …jointly with others not before court stole a motor vehicle make Toyota Premio black in color valued at Ksh.1.6 million…" part of the charge sheet read.
He pleaded not guilty to the charges before Magistrate Becky Cheloti and was released on a cash bail of Sh100,000.
The case will be mentioned on July 3rd, 2019.

Is this junior thug represented by a court appointed lawyer,or did he get his own lawyer,with the help of co-conspirators?I cannot imagine a 14 year old standing in front of a judge saying,"you honor I plead not guilty to the charges leveled against".
I believe that this boy just graduated to men's league after terrorizing women and other kids. Lock him up as an adult to teach other kids that this is serious business.I say mindful that "moralists" will be clamouring for juvenile rehabilitation center...
