Kenyan Military Officer Nabbed with Stolen Car in Kabete

Detectives from Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Friday arrested a Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) officer in connection with car theft.

In a statement, DCI said the soldier identified as Corporal Nicholas Kemboi, who is based at the Department of Defense (DoD), was arrested in Kabete, Kiambu County in possession of the stolen motor vehicle.

Sleuths discovered that the color of the vehicle and its registration number had already been changed.

His accomplice Eric Oduor, also a KDF officer, was arrested and released on bond after being charged in court on Friday.

Kemboi will be arraigned in court on Monday to face charges of stealing a car contrary to Section 278A of the Penal Code.
