2019 KCSE Results: List of Top 10 Best Performers

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha on Wednesday released the results of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) headquarters in Nairobi. 

Buruma Tony from Kapsabet Boys was named the top candidate with an A of 87.15 points followed by Barasa Maryanne Njeri (Kenya High School) Aboke David Odhiambo (Kapsabet Boys), Antony Owuor Ochieng' (Maseno High School) and Mathuri Natasha Wawira (Kenya High School).

Kizito Esther (Kabarak) was sixth followed by Long'ari Chelagat (Kenya High School), Hellen Njoki (Kenya High School), Irene Chelagat (Moi Forces Lanet) while Laura Otieno of St. Brigid's High School closed the top 10 list.

A total of 627 candidates scored grade A (plain) in this year’s examination, 5,796 scored A- (minus) while 125,746 attained C+ (plus), the minimum university entry grade.
