2019 KCSE Results: Top 10 Best Performing Schools

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha on Wednesday released the results of the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams at the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) headquarters in Nairobi. 

A total of 627 candidates scored grade A (plain) in this year’s examination, 5,796 scored A- (minus) while 125,746 attained C+ (plus), the minimum university entry grade.

Kenya High School was the best performing school with 76 As followed by Kapsabet Boys (49), Alliance Boys (48), Moi High School-Kabarak (30), Alliance Girls (27), Mary Hills Girls (25), Maseno School (23), Nairobi School (23), Mang’u High (23), and Moi Girls-Eldoret (21).

The top candidate was Buluma Tony of Kapsabet Boys’ High School (87.159 points), followed Barasa Njeri of Kenya High School (87.087), Abuge David of Kapsabet Boys’ (87.080) Anthony Owuor of Maseno School (87.00), and Mathuri Natasha of the Kenya High School (86.9610).
Others are Kizito Ezra of Moi High School Kabarak (86.960), Long’ali Chelang’at of Alliance Girls’ High School (86.924), Ndari Njoki of the Kenya High School (86.914), Siele Chelang’at of Moi Forces Academy- Lanet (86.900) and Laura Chelang’at Ruto of St. Brigid Kiminini (86.53).

A total of 699,745 sat for this year’s examinations between November 4th and 27th. To check their results, candidates should send an SMS of their 11-digit index number to code 20076
