Aide Angered by Reports on Retired President Kibaki’s Health Status

Ngari Gituku, the private secretary of Mwai Kibaki has been angered by reports alleging that the former president is hospitalized.

Gituku while rubbishing the claims on Thursday termed the people behind the fake news as “foolish and idle.”

“Some Kenyans are idle and foolish with nothing to do. I don’t know where this madness is coming from. It is not true,” said Gituku.

On Wednesday, The Star reported that Kibaki, 88, was admitted to the Nairobi Hospital on Monday barely two weeks after he was discharged from the same facility.

Quoting a source from the medical facility, the publication indicated that Kibaki was readmitted with the same health problem that took him to the hospital last month.

“Mzee is around being taken care of by his doctors. He has undergone several tests once again to try to establish what could be the cause of the much pain he is in,” the source who spoke on condition of anonymity told The Star.

Kibaki had been admitted to the same hospital’s VIP wing on June 19th after he complained of pain in the lower abdomen, which was allegedly caused by an infection.

“Only a top nurse, specific doctor(s) and his personal doctor are allowed to attend to him. Even his details are not registered at the hospital,” the source added.

being sick should not be embarrassing. No need to issue such strong statements. Just have him go the the shopping center in Othaya and do some shopping then post the photos here.
