Kenya Seek Interpol’s Help to Uncover Identity and Nationality of Foreigner Linked to Lawyer Elizabeth Koki’s Murder

Kenyan authorities have sought Interpol’s help to unravel the identity and nationality of a foreigner accused of killing Kenyan lawyer Elizabeth Koki.
While the suspect claims he is a Congolese citizen, he was found in possession of multiple passports with various names and nationalities.
On Monday, Justice David Kemei of Machakos High Court dismissed the accused’s application for bail, noting that his identity is not verifiable.
Judge Kemei found the foreigner, who is described in court documents as Unknown Alias Christian Baledi Kadima alias Eric Kambaye Katalayi, is a flight risk and his actual identity cannot be verified.
The court also found that the accused does not have a fixed abode or familiar ties in Kenya as his friends in Nairobi and Congolese Embassy officials, whom he had said were willing to guarantee his bail, vanished. He will remain in remand until the murder trial is concluded or the court issues further orders.
The pre-bail report revealed that the foreigner has traveled and worked in many countries including Mozambique, Nigeria, Angola, Ghana, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Guinea, DRC, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, and Madagascar.
Koki, who was the founder of Koki & Associates, was found dead in her house in Syokimau, Machakos County on January 8th this year.
Kadima, who was in a love relationship with the deceased, was arrested in his hideout at a Nairobi lodging, having tried to outsmart detectives by driving his getaway car to Riruta to create a false impression of his whereabouts. It is alleged that the fitness trainer had purchased a bus ticket to Uganda to avoid arrest.
The suspect had allegedly been seen leaving the house before the victim’s lifeless body was found in her bedroom by her house help the following day.
A post-mortem examination revealed that Koki was suffocated to death and suffered some injuries on the mouth that are consistent with a gag.
It also emerged that Kadima is wanted in South Africa over accusations of battery after assaulting one Miranda Jacobs in 2017, according to South African daily Sandton Chronicle. He allegedly skipped bail and fled to Kenya with South African authorities issuing a warrant of arrest against him.

If he is lying about where he comes from, there is one way to fix that; give him anew home at Kamiti Max prison for life and he will remember where he was born! Simple!
