Jubilee Gives Embattled Former PS Lilian Omollo a Direct Ticket to Vie for Embu Senate Seat

Jubilee Party on Tuesday issued a ticket to embattled former Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Lilian Omollo Mbogo to vie for the Embu senatorial seat.

Omollo was among aspirants who secured direct tickets to fly the ruling party’s flag in the gubernatorial, senate, Members of the National Assembly, Woman Representative, and ward representative seats in Embu County.

Omollo, who is fighting graft-related charges in the Sh9 billion National Youth Service (NYS) scandal alongside 34 others, declared her bid for the position in February this year.

The former principal secretary has maintained a low profile since she was implicated in the scandal in 2018 and has put up a spirited fight to clear her name.

Citing her over 20 years of experience in the public service and private sector, Omollo says that she will inject fresh energy and progressive leadership in Embu.

“I have a lot of experience, knowledge on issues of public service and financial management and I do not think there is any aspirant in Embu who fits that bill,” she said while launching her senate bid at her rural home in Manyatta, Embu county.

“I think it’s time I use what is in my head to help my people by ensuring the County gets its rightful share of funds from the National Government.”

Mugikuyu I agree with you at least on this one. These thieves know and are rooted to each other. And therefore they protect and take care of themselves when need arises.

Now you can follow where the billions were shared. She couldn’t try UDA because the members won’t let her in. Just Sonko tried and wasn’t let in.
She can only go in with like minded and those that shared the loot with.
Azimio is full of thieves. The Eurobond, Kazi kwa Vijana, NYS, Covid-19, stealing from the coffers to bribe electioneering etc.

An Omollo running for public office in the Mountain? I am now seriously thinking of running for an MCA post in Karatina come 2027.
