Intelligence Reports Show Raila Will Defeat Ruto in Round One, PS Kibicho Says

Interior Principal Secretary (PS) Karanja Kibicho says Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga will win the August 9th elections in the first round.

Citing data by the National Intelligence Service (NIS), Kibicho indicated that Odinga, who is giving his fifth stab at the presidency, will garner at least 60 percent of the votes cast in the forthcoming elections.

“It is a first round win. This is intelligence data and that’s what its saying. It is about 60 percent,” Kibicho said during an interview with Citizen TV on Tuesday night.

Kibicho claimed Odinga’s main challenger Deputy President William Ruto has been playing politics of perception in a bid to influence the public, insisting that intelligence data shows that Raila is headed for a landslide victory.

“There are people who will make noise and do photo shopping for perception creation which is very far from facts. For us we don’t deal with those perceptions, we deal with facts on the ground and they are saying very different things form the noise,” said Kibicho.

He added: “If you ask me for example what the data is saying today, and because you are entitled to my answer as a public servant, I will give you as it is and the burden of proof then shifts to you. If the data I’ve given you, you think its misleading, then tell me what data you have and from where that says otherwise. You cannot criminalize someone for giving you information you have asked for.”

He noted that the upcoming election is a two-horse race between Odinga and Ruto, with the former garnering 60 percent of the votes, 38 percent for the latter, while the other presidential aspirants will share the remaining 2 percent.

“For us we deal with realities and not perceptions. I am in touch with every village in this country through our national government administration network and we feel the political temperatures of this country.”

“What we are seeing is a situation where people start playing victims, creating a perception by making claims of rigging, but what these people are trying to do is to set stage. We know when the stage is being set as it is done through giving inaccurate information to create false perceptions,” Kibicho said.

At the same time, the principal secretary accused Ruto, who is eyeing the presidency under the UDA party and Kenya Kwanza Alliance, of losing touch with the government he serves.

“He is in government but has lost touch with it. He is promising to revive Kenya Meat Commission which was revived long time ago and is working. He says that when he becomes president, he will reduce the price of fertilizer from Sh5,000 to Sh3,000 but government reduced that long time ago to Sh2,600. This means we have a person who has completely lost touch with a government he works for,” he added.

On vote-rigging allegations, Kibicho termed President Kenyatta as a firm believer in the rule of law and cannot allow the will of the people to be subverted.

“This election will be won on round one and the government has no plans whatsoever to interfere with the August elections. There can’t be. President Kenyatta believes in the rule of law and democracy and is not a person who can sit in a room and tell you to manipulate the will of the people. The rule of the people shall prevail on August 9 2022,” he added.

Everything Kuni hi says is true. unfortunately the UDAku thieves do not want to hear it because they are losing big time.

Raila campaign mapping is far much better structured compared to UDAku. 26 Azimio parties comes with a lot more votes than just 6 parties aligned to UDAku. It’s common sense that Ruto wants to dispute…

Sally I know such news will make your misery temporarily go away. Unfortunately such information is treated as propaganda especially coming from such person. The campaign team could look good but convincing voters is another issue. You are right about Azimio having 26 parties combined but sadly they are all empty debes except the water melons which at this juncture is in a disarray. UDA only needs bigger margins from Central and Rift Valley to call it a day. And here we are they have it.

Am glad you realized he is not clear but just cheap propaganda. He forgets that deputy president has the most intelligence more than him in the government however much anyone may think he’s out of it.

There's a Big difference between Winning and your Win being STOLEN. Raila's wins have been Stolen 3 Times for Sure: 2007, 2013, and 2017. So it's Incumbent upon the EIBC to Make sure that Sokwe👹 and Sokora👺 don't Succeed in Stealing from Raila this Time around.

When will Kibicho release this information to Kenyans? The open records act require NIS to have this information available to the public, not just to Kibicho. It's not for the PS to be releasing one paragraph as he find necessary. In a fair system, all the candidates should receive the same intelligence, at the same time.

This is the fifth time Raila is running for presidency. Is he driven by his ego to seek the highest post in the country or is he driven by patriotism? Iwonder.

Raila was fighting for multi party politics in Kenya when Ruto was in Kanu fighting for a one party state. Does this answer your question? He has also been victorious last 2 times and his votes stolen.

@Biwott, why don't you read , The Herald, 2JUNE 2022; title: Raila - The Merchant of Violence. Raila is a dirty political schizophrenic---- violent and dictatorial, obsessive with violence. Read the article for yourself. You're following an immoral and failed cause bro. Raila is our sorry past not our future!

Maxiley you ponder a valid question. If you have observed Raila since time immemorial in politics, you realize that he has not shown any intentions of helping Atieno or Wanjiku in anyway. His is about tailoring constitutions to accommodate his interests. It’s always about him and anyone else is secondary. If for example he helped (as he says)changed the 2010 constitution, why does he want to undo it now through BBI?
What has he done as a member in government and as private individual that can be seen as a direct benefit to the needy?
At the moment Raila is not giving an elaborate economic agenda to the country. What he is proposing is a major take away from government. T
He cannot tell us he is creating a social program dishing out sh 6000 every month for the unemployed and single women when the country’s economy is bleeding. He says he is going to support it by cutting corruption. He better be reminded that in the government’s budget there is nothing set aside for corruption. All monies are already budgeted for. So there no portfolio in the budget called corruption that can safe money for his proposal!
If Raila was for the common cause, why has he been mute for the last four years? He joined Uhuru in escalating Kenyans problems instead of been the official opposition leader. He is indeed paid around Ksh 300 million every year for the sole purpose of checking the government. It’s an official duty. He has been earning and not doing his job! Again that shows how selfish he is. As long as he is eating, all is well with him. The only time you hear Raila talk loudly about government is when he is not “ eating “!

Azimio still have a lot of work to do. They need to win by 85%. 60% is nothing. They need all those undecided votes, they need all those votes from Kikuyus who still think they can't be governed by an uncircumcised man- "Kihii". I know most Gema will vote for Azimio because of Martha Karua na hiyo ni sawa kabisa, bora votes kwa debe! Swali ni is Martha Karua a "Kihii"? Or not? Azimio also needs votes from the ONE TIME KALENJIN RAILA DIE-HARDS who switched to UDA because of ukabila that is killing our country and no other reason! Raila has to rump up his campaigns in these regions so that the Kalenjin nation can be welcomed back to Azimio. Ruto is still young. Ruto still has a chance to prove himself to not only the Kalenjin community but to Kenya in Opposition come August-September 2022! Bado Ruto ako na utoto mwingi ya kukasirikia kila mtu na kufanya decisons zake kando kando with ONLY those he considers close. He needs to mature as a person and politically while serving Kenyans in Opposition! There he will keep the government in check and on its toes. I tell you that will be the best government Kenya will ever have.
