International Fugitive Caught Hiding at University of Nairobi Staff Quarters

Detectives in Nairobi have arrested an international fugitive who is facing organized crimes charges in Sudan. 

Mohamed Nagi Mohamed Magzoub, who was in possession of a Sudanese passport, was flushed out of his hideout at the University of Nairobi staff quarters on Monday evening by Transnational and Organized Crimes detectives acting of a tip-off from the public.

“His arrest followed information received by our officers via the secure  #FichuakwaDCI hotline,” the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said.

“Arrangements to extradite the suspect to his home country where he will face justice are currently in top gear, as the Directorate looks for the next available flight to Khartoum, to hand him over to Sudanese authorities.”

The agency attributed the increase in arrests of international fugitives wanted for serious crimes in their countries to an excellent working relationship between the INTERPOL National Central Bureau based at DCI headquarters in Nairobi and other member countries.
