Luo Elders Send Warning to Raila Odinga

The National Super Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been warned by the Luo Council of Elders that he risks denting his presidential aspirations if he does not allow Nyanza people to elect leaders of their wish.
The caution by the Elders comes after calls by the former Prime Minister rooting for six piece voting system amid protests from section of supporters backing independent candidates.
“We understand the residents of this region, especially the Luo, (and we) know how they will vote... They should be left to freely decide whether to go for the six-piece voting pattern or not,” the council’s chairman, Opiyo Otondi said.
The elders warned Raila to be cautious during his campaigns to avoid possible falling-out among NASA supporters in the region.
Otondi warned that if chaos continues to be witnessed in Raila’s campaigns, his candidature will not attract voters, urging him to embrace other candidates who have pledged support for his presidential aspirations.
“Leaders and residents from other communities have pledged their support for Odinga yet we are washing our dirty linen in public,” said Otondi.
The Council’s Homa Bay Branch Secretary, Joram Okola, asked Odinga to abandon the six piece voting calls and focus on marshaling votes for his bid.
“Supporters and candidates of other NASA affiliate parties feel they are being side-lined through the call for the six-piece voting pattern. It should be stopped for the good of the coalition,” said Okola.

" Asiyesikia la mkuu mwisho huvunjila guu." Ndugu Raila, wazee wamesema. Nakuomba Kaka uwasikilize kwa makini halafu uwatimizie matakwa yao bila tashwishi yoyote wala kupoteza wakati wowote. Je umesoma mambo Ndugu Kabogo aliyosema leo?

Msema Ukweli. These Elders don't understand Politics of Today; and they Can't Advice Raila on anything. They don't understand a thing about the Political Terrain of Lupland, Westetn, and Kenya as a whole (except Allowing themselves to be Manipulated by some Anti-Railans.

Very frankly, you are the one who is ignorant about the dynamics of today's politics! The Luo Council of Elders is right. These 6-piece rhetoric and subsequent demonstrations and chaos will alienate some would-be Raila supporters and tear the coalition apart merely a month before the August 8 elections. Kalonzo and Wetangula, the other key co-principals, gave the same pleas as the Luo Elders; but as usual your idol god of ojinga didn't heed their pleas. Btw, where have and other brainwashed Raila worshippers been haibernating not to have heard similar concerns by other Nasa luminaries? Dah!!!!

@Hon Kenjuu. You are absolutely right.I do not know why this guys and girls like Guest engage in this idol following of Ojinga. I quiet frankly believe that even the LUO people deserve better leadership than what they have been getting from this Raila. I mean everything about their politics has been about taking and consuming his BS/Crap.For example 1)The guy refuses to accept defeat should he get defeated in the election .2)His lieutenants keep saying for the last 6 months that they will not go the supreme court should there be some issues of question in the election. Most Luo ordinary men and women know that this would only lead to chaos in the country.Chaos that would not benefit the ordinary Kenyan family regardless of whether they are Luo or Kikuyu. However this ODM girls and guys continue to foolishly defend him. This is nonsense.I look forward to the day we will have more Peace Loving and Development conscious leaders from LUO Nyanza. And by the way I know many folks from Luo land know that what I am saying is right, but they are too scared/brainwashed to speak up.

Ojinga is his worst enemy, he keeps on shooting himself on his legs but one should not be surprised because as in every election cycle, he is always a victim of power and prestige, he gets himself enticed by property and popularity and he lets himself get subdued by pomposity. That is just how foolish and naive Ojinga is.

@Guest.By the way.Hii Ujinga ya politics with Al-Ghurai tender. Nasa inafaa iache. Let the ballot papers be printed.Let Kenyans go to the election without delay. The high court should not be intimidated by nonsense coming from folks in NASA. All the world eyes are on the Kenyan election. There is no way that any printing firm is going to mess up the printing tender.Because, that would essentially destroy their business. Not just in Kenya but in other countries as well.Let Kenyans go to the ballot on time. And let the losers accept defeat. In the interest of peace and civil order for the country.
