Widow Opens Up on General Nkaissery's Last Moments

Hellen Nkaissery, the wife of late Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery says that her husband died without uttering a word.
Hellen broke her silence on the general’s last moments to a group of mourners who arrived at Nkaissery's Karen home to condole with the family.
Baringo Senator and Kanu chairman Gideon Moi was among the guests.
She said that they prayed together with her husband at around 11:30pm Friday, and the CS followed her to bed shortly.
“He prayed as he always did and I slept,” she said.
Tragedy would then strike moments later, after her late husband fall off the bed.
“After about 20 minutes, I felt a sound as if something had knocked the side of the bed. I checked and found he had fallen off the bed,” said the widow, as reported by The Standard.
“I called the askaris who rushed into our bedroom. My back was aching from my effort to lift him up,” she said.
Nkaissery was declared dead moments after arriving at Karen Hospital, and according to Mrs Nkaissery, he did not even utter a word.
“He went without saying a word, not even goodbye. He never whispered that he was in pain. He died like a soldier,” she said.
Pathologist ruled out foul play on the CS death, with reports indicating he succumbed to heart attack.
