NASA to Rally Supporters Against October 17th Repeat Presidential Election

National Super Alliance (Nasa) has scheduled a rally in Nairobi on Sunday where it will launch a campaign against October 17th repeat presidential election.

In the event, Nasa principals will rally supporters against the repeat election until its “irreducible minimum” demands are met by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.

Led by its presidential candidate Raila Odinga, his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, chief campaigner Musalia Mudavadi and Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang’ula, Nasa has spelt out to IEBC conditions it must meet before a fresh poll is held, failure to which, there will be no polls.

“We will tell Kenyans exactly why they should not allow the election to be held.

"We have made it clear that we are not boycotting the election, but we will not let that election happen unless and until our irreducible minimums are met,” Mudavadi’s spokesman Kibisu Kabatesi said of the rally to be held at Jacaranda grounds in Embakasi.

“We are talking to Kenyans to make the elections not happen by ensuring that no voting takes place unless our demands to create a level playing ground are met,” he added.

IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has maintained that while they are willing to meet Nasa and listen to their pleas, preparations for the election were on course.

On Friday, the opposition outfit published in local dailies a full-page advertisement listing what they described as their “irreducible minimums” before the repeat poll could be held.

Nasa said the electoral commission, as currently constituted is too divided to deliver a free and fair election.

“Chebukati may be putting on a brave face but we all know he has been isolated.
"His efforts to reform the IEBC before the October 17 election have been thwarted,” Kabatesi said, referring to widely publicised divisions between the IEBC chairman and Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba.

Nasa issued nine demands to the Chebukati-led commission, among them the removal of nine IEBC officials led by CEO Ezra Chiloba, Commissioner Abdi Guliye, Director of Elections Immaculate Kassait and ICT director James Muhati.

Bwana Raila,

Please stop your nonsense. The other party is campaigning and all you are doing is complaining about everything else. You have costed Kenya over 20 billion by repeating elections in which you cleally lost. I voted NASA but will be voting for UHURU and will convince all my friends to do so. I have seen in my view Jubilee means well for the common Mwananchi. Please stop the chaos let us vote and move on. at this point you are making a fool of yourself and you are becoming chronic wound for our economy and Kenya. I please urge you stop all this whining and complaining in which you have been doing since 1982. I wasted by voting for you all this time only to realize you do not mean well for we the middle class people.

Campaigning against election while collecting money from his worshipers to fund the same election.... I have run out of words to describe Raila. But Kenya is not his piece of paper to fold whichever way he wants. It is time he knows the truth. He has probably another 10 or 20 years to live and should not mess it for our children...

Please don't blame Raila, stupidity is inborn, selfishness is aquired, foolishness is a product of the two. How does one cut these out. Lay the ground rules and move on without listening to the noise,if his stupid followers only make noise, ignore them but if they cross the line and bring violence, take violence to them, if they break premises, rob, burn or harras people, clear them easiest way you can and don't worry how many will end in the morgue, they will have deserved it.
