Coast People's Assembly Denounce Kenyatta's Presidency

The Coast region people's assembly has denounced Uhuru Kenyatta's Presidency and has demanded for the swearing in of opposition leader Raila Odinga as the people's President.

In a day long people's assembly meeting presided over by Odinga at the Sun n Sand beach resort in Kilifi county on Sunday, coast opposition leaders drawn from Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu, Tana River and Taita Taveta counties declared Uhuru as an illegitimate president and vowed to recognise Odinga as president.

Speaking during the forum, which was the inaugural people's assembly meeting, Raila o he will take Oath of Office.

“No one will stop me from lifting the bible to take the oath,” said Raila.

“When the state of governance becomes bad and the state excludes sections of the nation it becomes inevitable that the people will exercise the right to self determination,” Raila added.

Among resolutions by delegates at the meeting included denouncing Uhuru's presidency as well as pushing for self determination.

“…. we do not recognize the illegitimate presidency of Uhuru Kenyatta, and to state in no uncertain terms that we shall not accept the institutionalization of sham elections in Kenya.”

“There will be no business as usual until a democratically elected President assumes office,” the resolutions statement further reads.

In attendance were Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi.

Government must deal with this issue conclusively. This Joho a.k.a sultan, a.k.a D- is a very dangerous man. Remember Boko Haram, Lord resistance army, Islamic state, etc are lead by people like him, mostly illiterate.

Call them what you want but resistance movement is alive and well.Uhuru has taken to issuing threats so what will he do when Baba eventually takes the oath. Not a damn thing as usual. Why he is so concerned with Baba is because he reminds him every day that he is a thief. His 40 days are coming and he knows it. Wacha matusi we have heard those before

Coast People's Assembly does not represent all coastal people, many of us from the coast are firmly behind President Kenyatta's constitutional mandate as Kenyan Head of State.
