NASA Threatens to Call for Civil Disobedience

National Super Alliance (Nasa) has threatened to call for civil disobedience if President Kenyatta fails to stop the ongoing crackdown on opposition hardliners.

The opposition outfit further demanded the government to stop disregard of court orders as recently witnessed.

Nasa leaders said that if the President fails to meet the demands by coming weekend, they will ask opposition supporters to stop cooperating with any government agency and disregard the law, until the state halts the arbitrary arrest of its leaders.

Led by National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi, the leaders wondered why Kenyans should obey the law, when government has "effectively suspended the rule of law and buried the Constitution without declaring so."

"Kenya is a democracy and not anarchy and if this trend does not stop immediately, then beginning this weekend, we shall ask all currently law-abiding citizens to stop obeying those laws, stop cooperating with law enforcement agencies, and stop cooperating with the Government and government agencies," Mbadi said.

They also alleged that there is a plan by government to assassinate Dagoretti North Member of Parliament Simba Arati and his Embakasi East counterpart, Babu Owino.

The leaders further condemned the deportation of former Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Miguna Miguna to Canada, describing it as 'the height of impunity' by the Jubilee administration and a violation of the Constitution.

#ResistRaila is what it is! Show us one thing, one positive thing that the Lord of Poverty has contributed to this county BUT poverty, bloodshed, despair and death. The look on his face tells you he is not-with-it. Pelekeeni mzee nursing home if you cannot care for him otherwise....he is obsessed with ELECTIONS, yet he won't put his name on the ballot to vie and win clean...he wants to be handed a win like he has been handed everything in his life. #RESISTRAILA

Raila and your NASA, if you could begin respecting the laws of the land, all will be well. You have been disregarding the constitution since the August 8 elections and you continue to do the same to the extent of swearing in your “Peoples President”. Kenya ina serikali, and when the government draws a line on the sand, and you intentionally cross it, you run around claiming foul. You cannot give your cake and eat it too. Empty threats of civil disobedience will take you nowhere. It will only make your lives more miserable. Obey the laws of the land and serikali will give you space.

@Rumbwa: Have the courage to identify objectively all the five "wauaji" of Kenya. Brother Uhuru, Raila, Ruto, Toroitich, and Kenyatta, have innocent Kenyan bloods oozing from their hands!

Don't be allergic to the truth Ndugu Rumbwa!

People with mental issues should be viewed as beside the law and not above the law, which means the law has no meaning to them. However, those who may try to use such people to distabilise the countly should be delt with ruthlesly.

Which other disobedience than what we has witnessed since August 8. If you think disobedience means buying other peoples son's this time round you will bury your women's and children's. That's how you feel the pain too.

Raila, you are already causing civil unrest, let alone civil disobedience - whatever that means. That is what TERRORISTS are renowned for among these: a) Resisting (to face the truth, even when it smacks them right in the face) b) Boycott (all products made by their own people and employed by these companies to better themselves). c) Form a terrorist movement and kid themselves they are now parallels with their government (whilst in the same breath demanding to reap the benefits of the sitting government majority). I know Guest1 will burst a vein, but his/her God Raila is a TERRORIST and on borrowing a phrase from the booted Miguna x 2, take that to the bank!!

@anonymous:

When you use your amygdala part of your emotional part of your brain to reason out on very important issues by calling me names does not achieve your intended goals. Sorry Ndugu, Good luck!

I can see through you after many years of phsycology practice
