List of Powerful State House Officials Accused of Plotting to Block DP William Ruto's 2022 Ambitions

A host of Jubilee MPs have named powerful individuals at the State House who are determined to block Deputy President William Ruto from succeeding President Uhuru in 2022.

Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wa, a close ally of the Deputy President, recently said that some of the individuals opposed to Ruto were the same ones who fixed him at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

“The same cartel that took you to the ICC, we want to serve them notice today...if we genuinely support Uhuru Kenyatta, we must support you [Ruto] to continue furthering the Jubilee agenda,” the MP said at a function over the weekend.

The Star, which carried out multiple interviews with Jubilee legislators, reports that Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua was mentioned as part of a team of powerful State House officials working behind the scenes to stop Ruto.

The MPs also named Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho, and State House comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua as other persons working under the presidency, who are frustrating DP Ruto's plan.

Also mentioned in the list of Ruto's detractors is Jubilee Party Vice Chairperson David Murathe and former President Uhuru political adviser, Nancy Gitau

In a recent interview with Citizen TV, Senate Majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen said some individuals in President Kenyatta's office have been planning to finish Ruto politically.

"We have discovered, after research, that some people in the president’s office are leaking information that has been used to propagate propaganda (against Ruto)," he alleged, but declined to name the individuals.

He added: "Let me be very frank, I believe that the investment ‘those people’ are putting in to drive a wedge between the president and his deputy is so huge and to a great extent it is creating faults. The concerns that these people exist and work in the president’s office is obvious."

"They lie to the president telling him that his only legacy will be the Big Four Agenda. I think an honest presidency, a united government count for much as well. They are the ones sponsoring stories in the newspapers and using other people in an attempt to break the party. Their only motive is to contain Ruto and stop him from making it to presidency,'' he added.

Reached for a comment, Jubilee party Vice Chairman Murathe denied the existence of a group plotting to block Ruto. “I am not aware of any team plotting to scuttle DP Ruto’s bid in 2022,” Murathe told the Star.

“It would be in the best interest of the DP to keep the party together and the noise from part of his corner is not helping his cause. The party supports everything the President is doing, including the handshake, fighting corruption and the lifestyle audit, and anyone fighting these initiatives is not a friend of Jubilee,” Murathe added.

These detractors are mean spirited. They are doing this selfishly because they believe once Ruto ascends to power, they will have no place in Ruto's administration. What matters; the country or specific individuals?

Quote, "we must support you [Ruto] to continue furthering the Jubilee agenda." Which agenda is this dude talking about? Escalating corruption and embezzlement of govt's resources? Chinese's neo-colonialism and the rising Chinese debt that our country will be burdened with for years to come? Political dynasties, tribalism and nepotism? Enough with these self-serving thieves. Stop the premature campaigns and get back to work. We the voters will decide who the president will be; not a handful of political elites. Wakenya tuamke.

Hapo umesema. Voting Ruto is voting for a continued jubilee agenda which is increased graft and
expensive projects like SGR which were inflated in price inorder to pocket more billions. Down with Jubilee, down with Ruto. This is not a tribal debate; we as a country should say enough is enough.

Any Kenyan blocking the possibility of Mheshimiwa Ruto becoming the next president of Kenya is a "TRUE FRIEND" of all Kenyans.
