I Spent Sh274,000 to Repair Damaged Nairobi House After Police Raid, Miguna Miguna Claims

Deported Kenyan-Canadian lawyer Miguna Miguna claims he used Sh274,000 to repair his house which was damaged by police during a raid that saw him arrested on February 2nd, 2018.

Police stormed Miguna's residence located in Nairobi's Runda estate and forcefully arrested him for allegedly administering oath of office to opposition leader Raila Odinga as 'people's president' on January 30th.

Miguna resisted arrest by locking himself inside the house, but police forcefully entered the house leaving behind a trail of destruction.

In an affidavit filed in court through his lawyer John Khaminwa, Miguna says he used Sh274,000 as payment for repairs on the house.

The outspoken lawyer says he paid the amount to his interior designer to renovate the house after it was badly damaged by state officers when they raided and arrested him.

The designer, Edgar Monsey Oriedo says he found glass pieces scattered inside and outside the house when he inspected the home, with the window panes to the main door broken.

Oriedo further said the door and locks to the bedroom were irreparably damaged and the staircase windows completely smashed as well.

He said he repaired the steel door, bedroom doors, kitchen window panes, toilet window panes, corridor lamps, door locks, padlocks, painting, among other repairs.

Bullshit!!!. The value of the house itself without the land is not is not more than KShs 2,000,000. Does it mean Police damaged quarter of it?. I bet if there was any damage it did not exceeded KShs 2,000. Miguna is a person who exaggerate everything to get sympathy

Serikali ya Ruto na Uhuru ilivunja sheria. Kwa nini hawakumshika Raila? Kwa nini hawakufuata kanuni zilizotolewa na mahakma kuu juu ya Miguna? Ndugu Hanene, usiwe mwepesi kuropoka matusi. Yaliyompata Miguna leo yatakupata wewe kwenye siku za usoni.

Kazi ya serikali siyo kuvunja nyumba za watu huku ikitumia mabavu. Serikali ina jukumu moja muhimu: Kufuata sheria za nchi na kulinda wananchi pamoja na mali yao.

Dhuluma Ndugu Miguna aliyopata sijaiona ikifanywa na serikali yoyote duniani ambayo ni halali.

Ndugu Miguna, usife moyo baada ya 2022, utarudishwa pasipoti yako na kitambulisho chako kilichochukuliwa na wasiofuata sheria za nchi Ndugu Kihalangwa, Matiang'i na Boinnetti. Watu hawa watatu watafikishwa mahakmani na kueleza kwa nini hawakufuata masharti ya mahakma kuu juu ya Miguna.
