Orengo: Why I Want Deputy President William Ruto Impeached

Siaya Senator James Orengo has revealed why he wants Deputy President William Ruto impeached.

Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV, Orengo, who doubles up as the Senate Minority Leader has cited corruption allegations and insubordination as grounds for Ruto's ouster.

The lawyer argues that Ruto's attacks on government agencies mandated to fight corruption amounts to insubordination and gross misconduct.

Orengo says these grounds are sufficient to introduce a motion of no confidence against Ruto.

“The list is too long. And this is not about what he has been linked to, but what he has also admitted. For example the hotel next to the airport, the Muteshi land and now these two dams where there has been an allegation supported by facts that Sh21 billion was lost but in his knowledge, he is talking about Sh7 billion,” says Orengo.

Senator Orengo further notes that Ruto must be investigated if the country is serious on fighting the vice.

“He (Ruto) is not being investigated because we are not yet prepared to deal with grand corruption. I think he should be investigated,” says Orengo.

“If he cannot be investigated, then the parliamentary process is another tool which is largely political.”

He has further dismissed claims that he is speaking for ODM leader Raila Odinga by calling for Ruto's removal from office.

“It is me speaking; Raila has his mouth and I got my mouth. When I am speaking on behalf of Raila; which I have done before, I’ll say as much,” explains Orengo.

Orengo recently threatened to table in Parliament a motion for the impeachment of Ruto.

Orengo, Raila and basically ODM should stop trying to resurrect “the dead”.

It serves no purpose to attempt to impeach Ruto. It will make him stronger and more popular. Best way is to beat him at the ballot box in 2022.

Orengo should name the whole list of all our corrupt leaders not just Ruto. Orengo is naming Ruto to remove competition against Raila in 2022. Other corrupt leaders include
Raila, Kindero, Waiguru, etc. name all and let all be investigated. Come 2022, there will be real competition against Raila and as usual he will be defeated only because he is not a genuine leader.
Removing Ruto does not guarantee Raila leadership.
Leadership is first elected by God before being elected by man. We need strong leadership in 2022 that will be have real God's blessings before we elect the same.
May the best man win and not the one forced onto Kenya by with and without corrupt forces and decorated with money.

FOCUS ON THE GRAND CORRUPTION INVESTIGATION INCLUDING LIFESTYLE AUDIT.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

But the motion of no confidence he may survive as Jubilee are majority in parliament and also will loot funds to bribe members.

Impeach arap Mashamba already. His thieving rate should be in the Guinness book or records, totally insatiable. Weston should go down and dam money recovered. The Chinese want to be paid their monthly bill and this DP man is eating everything. Very gluttonous with money.

All politicians are corrupted. Lifestyle audit is the best way to begin addressing the theifly. They are bankrupting the country every day. I pity the future generations. Kenya as we know it will not be there.
Economic crimes are rampant in the public employees. All of them should account their wealth pronto.
