'I Have 5-Year US Visa': Nairobi Governor Sonko Says as He Denies Drugs Link

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has refuted claims that he is among prominent Kenyans who are being sought by the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) and United States authorities in connection with drug trafficking.

Speaking during an interview with K24 TV on Sunday, Governor Sonko said he has never been involved in drugs trade neither is he being sought by US authorities.

"First, I know there is a list circulating out there that has my name on it, claiming that I am wanted by Interpol. I don't deal in drugs. I wouldn't even know what drugs are if you put them in front of me. I am not wanted by Interpol or the US," he said.

Sonko further explained that he would not have been issued with a US visa or allowed to visit the country if he was a suspected drug trafficker.

"In fact, I have a five-year US visa. And I was with the ambassador [Kyle McCarter] the other day," Sonko noted.

“If you’re a drug dealer and are implicated by the US or other countries, first you are barred from traveling and can’t get a visa. Just the other day, a couple of months ago, I was invited to the United Nations General Assembly to represent Africa,” added Sonko.

Sonko told Punchline show host Anne Kiguta that he doesn’t even know how cocaine looks like. “I have never dealt in drugs. Even if you give me cocaine, salt, and sugar, I cannot point out which of the three is cocaine.”

Kweli Wajinga ndio waiuawa. What will Sonko be representing Africa about and who chose him to do so? This is how Africans are perceived by the West - Choose an idiot to represent a country and then mock the entire continent.

Since when Africa started sending their best to USA? When you see all those refugee immigrants living on welfare through out their lives or living in a section aid houses as dream house, Americans don't waste time distinguishing between refugees and immigrants. All refugees ate immigrants but not all immigrants are refugees at the end of the day they all come from a beautiful and rich continent where God created them by mistake!!!

And off course we know a visa issued to Sonko is irrevocable and being in Kyle McCarter's presence clears you of all crime. Kyle McCarter must possess some serious magical powers. Who knew?
