We from the US cannot bring in a car because it would be left-hand drive. In lieu of this, can we be allowed to import a car from a right-handed car country within a period after returning to Kenya?

There are several Jeep Wranglers that are manufactured with Right hand drive.Just search on the Net. I think the only problem is the age limit which makes them pricey. But since they will be important tax free. Its worthy trying

Lies. Uongo. Lies. When I intended to return home sometimes back, I called and emailed KRA after Uhuru, on his visit here, reiterated that any diaspora returning home could not only go with one vehicle, but could also sell his/her left hand car, buy a right hand one in any other country, and use those documentations to get it in duty free.
An arrogant KRA staff responded:
"Hizo ni siasa za Uhuru. It has to be put into law which takes a long time. Hakuna kitu kama hicho. Utalipa." Damn!
So Karanja wacha kujipeleka mbele....na uongo.
