Kenyan Comedian Elsa Majimbo Named Brand Ambassador for Rihanna's Fenty Beauty Campaign

 Kenyan comedian Elsa Majimbo has landed a lucrative ambassadorial deal with Fenty, an enterprise owned by American singer Rihanna.

Majimbo through her social media pages said she is proud to be part of Rihanna’s team for her Fenty Beauty campaign.

“My 19-year-old self literally got a chance to work with @FentyOfficial. I’m so proud!!!! Thanking the Fenty fam they’ve been so amazing and Rihanna for this amazing brand!” she wrote.

Majimbo in one of the videos shared on Fenty’s official Twitter page uses her comical skills to market a variety of Rihanna’s sunglasses.

“I wear Fenty! Me and Rihanna are practically childhood friends. You call her Rihanna, I call her best friend,” she says in the video.

Majimbo also shared another campaign video on her timeline and thanked Fenty for “believing in my vision.”

“Just a @FENTY campaign for my best friend @badgalriri. Rihanna doesn’t necessarily know that we are bff’s, but that’s okay, she will one day. Thank you to the fam at @FENTY for believing in my vision,” she noted.

Rihanna launched the cosmetic brand in 2017 and is said to have made a total of $100 million in the first few weeks.

Majimbo was not known until March this year when she unleashed her comical skills online amid the Covid-19 pandemic. She has since earned local and international recognition, getting featured by global media platforms including the Guardian, New York Times, CNN, BBC, among others.
