Mzungu Commits Suicide After Kenyan Wife and In-Laws Disinherits Him of Property Worth Millions
Detectives have opened a probe into an incident where an 82-year-old German-born man committed suicide by shooting himself after his Kenyan wife and relatives allegedly disinherited him of property worth millions of shillings.
Wolfgang Theodor Fischer, who acquired Kenyan citizenship by naturalization, had lived in Kenya for nearly three decades and was married to a 62-year-old Kenyan woman named Veronicah Ndinda.
The octogenarian is said to have written a suicide note to Diani police station OCS giving details of his troubled marriage and how he struggled to pay for his cancer treatment after losing his savings and property to his wife and in-laws.
His lifeless body was found lying in a pool of blood in his Diani home, where a pistol, spent and unspent rounds of ammunition were also recovered. His wife told police that she found him dead when she returned to the house from church.
A close German friend said the deceased’s in-laws frustrated him, leading to suicidal thoughts.
“The tycoon had wrangles with in-laws over properties and was also suffering from cancer. He was depressed after losing money and land to people he claimed he was familiar with. I tried comforting and supporting him but all was in vain,” he told a local daily.
Some suspects, including his wife and in-laws, have since been questioned by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in relation to his death.
Police said they will use the evidence collected from the scene of crime and witnesses to expedite the probe into the German’s death.

Marry a Kenyan woman, especially a Kyuk, at the risk of your life. I am a bit surprised this is a Kao, still a cousin to a kyuk. Kikuyu women are the most notoriously money minded women I know. They’ll kill or mess marriages just because there’s no enough money in the family and will often ensure a rich guy is gone so that they can enjoy the money. I totally agree with you Mlacahke. When a kyuk family eyes your wealth you are as good as dead. The family will do anything within their rich to get you-witchcraft, kamuchere, hire to kill contracts, faked accidents or robbery, etc. I am talking as a victim because I lost my brother in this manner.
