Ruto Hosts Nigerian In-Laws for Dowry Negotiation Ceremony for His Daughter June

Deputy President William Ruto on Saturday hosted a dowry negotiation ceremony for his eldest daughter June Ruto, who is getting married to her Nigerian fiancé.

Ruto welcomed June’s husband-to-be, who has been identified as Alexander Ezenagu, and his delegation at his Karen residence.

Soy MP Caleb Kositany is said to have led the team negotiating on behalf of Ruto while Ezenagu’s side was led by Osita Chidoka, a politician and former Minister of Aviation in Nigeria.

Through his Facebook page, Chidoka said, “The Kalenjin people of Kenya are pastoral people and have so much in common with the Igbos of Nigeria.”

“I was the negotiator at the bride price settlement ceremony. We haggled, we negotiated and at the end, we agreed on how many cows would be a fair price for the hands of June. June's father kept the event small and simple and family-focused. His position as Deputy President was relegated as he played the role of a father. Hon. Ruto and wife were great hosts.”

He added: “I regaled them with Igbo customs, proverbs and more. They are looking forward to visiting Ani Igbo to eat roasted yam and red oil.”

June, who studied international relations at the University of Queensland in Australia, currently serves as Kenya’s Charge d’Affaires in Poland.

Ezenagu describes himself as an Investment, Tax Law, and Development Governance expert, professor at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) in Qatar.

He holds a Ph.D. from McGill University in Canada and a Master of Laws from the University of Cambridge in the UK.

The most corrupt and evil dynasties of Ruto and Nigerian mafia meeting to hoss down the resources of Kenya through Ruto!

There is no marriage here! It is the union of the most corrupt Igbo making a an unholy union with the Kenya’s Ruto the king of scams.

Kenyans should be very concerned about this relationship Ruto has established with Nigerians!

@mugukuyu! There is no missing link here! It is the greatest thief in Kenya mortgaging our country to Nigerian mafia! Ruto wants to recruit mboka halam to fight for him when he loses 2022 elections! Kenyans should very worried about what Ruto is up to!

The first time in the history of Kenya @hanene have said something very sensible and people need to pay attention to what Koni is saying to Kenyans! Ruto has gone to bed with the world’s known scammers. The marriage of convinience constituted by the most corrupt Ruto and the Nigerian scammers kingpins! June must be replaced from her job immediately and Ruto’s top secret clearance must be recited to safeguard Kenya’s operational secrets!

Right on Koni! She had to go for the worst of the worst Igbo crooks! But again, the father is of equal measure with corruption tendencies! So none of them will complain of the other because they are all thieves! My only concern is the fact that Nigerians will flock to Kenya like bees and crime will go up to unfathomed levels.

For those who follow the Son of Mariam,as my friend Ndugu Imara, aptly puts it,how do you reconcile your african tradition with what the Son of Mariam espouses?
Apparently God gave Adam awife, and he did not have to do anything,or give God anything in return.Adam and Even being the first couple,(married)why dont Christians follow their example? Ruto should be saying,"I am aChristian, and I dont go by Kalenjin traditions, but I follow what the Son of Mariam would have us do".
Come to think of it, Adam and Even were not married. It was a come we stay arrangement. The future way of life...

I think everyone does what is expedient and profitable. If I recall, the Ibo are pastoralists the same way the aGīkūyū are. The term Mūmbi's children prefer is ngururanio. That said you are right. The question that never gets adequate answers ni hii mambo ya Adam and Eve being our parents and the rather unpleasant questions that follow. Indeed MweneNyaga provided Gīkūyū with his wife and later only asked for a prayer and a sacrificial offering at the Mūgumo tree and provided Gīkūyū the 9 young men. No cows, goats, cash etc, changed hands. Rūracio was not a thing.

@ Mundumugo, very interesting.I see alot of parallels in what MweneNyaga did in this regard, and the bible. Is there any writings on this? I would like to read more about this MweneNyaga.
Like I have always said, we had our own religions before mzungu na mwarabu arrogantly, and without respect disrupted them And pretty forced their beliefs on africans.

Nobody forced any body to take over their religions. They all accepted it with open hands to enjoy the flowery gifts! When are Africans going to stand on their two legs and stop blaming others! I think Africans are their own worst enemy because we have trouble working together. And those who work together, most of them turn out to be conmen and thieves like the case here!

@Lajalos, check your history again.Islam was forced on non muslims. In many parts of the world especially in North America, christianity was forced on Native Americans... and some africans as well.Africans did not outrightly embrace christianity...
Actually my point is, why couldnt they just respect the african religions. Its no like africans did not have religion.

Ruto is putting a down payment to his next home in case he gets convicted by the ICC court. It is the most corrupt man marrying his daughter to the most corrupt country in Africa so they can protect him wtt he en convicted by ICC.

There will be a high influx of Nigerian conmen in Kenya should Ruto be elected the next president. Kenyans should take note of what is happening in this situation. All the reasons why Ruto should never be Kenyans president because he will sell our country to Nigerian cons!

You couldn't have said it better. Kenyans should embrace at least 10,000,000 Nigerians moving to Kenya if Ruto is elected President of Kenya. Igbo's are not pastoralists but thieves and international scammers. Ironically Ruto's own clan is well known in the field of thievery. Kenya's economy would not be far from that of South Korea were it not for 24 years ruling of another pastoralist known as Moi. Imagine a union between Igbo's of Nigeria and Kale's of Kenya? Corruption in Kenya would eclipse that of notorious Nigeria's Sani Abasa. Criminality is embedded in Nigerians mind and more so in Igbo's blood. It is genetically derived from unknown pre-historic hominid that lived millions of years in what is now Nigeria(https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-51508616). Igbo's kids grow up like any other kids in the world but at the age of eight they change and become overly competitive, domineering and aggressive. At adulthood they are masters of deceive. More than seventy five percent(75%) of World's Scammers are from Igbo tribe. Since their acts are as a result of genetic deviation there is no dose to it. June's father has always been accused of high corruption and the man she is marrying has also been accused of the same. It is therefore possible to predict that the union between them will bred a new generation of hyper scammers that will more likely drain out whatever they will inherit of Kenya's treasury

Ruto’s new Nigerian in-laws have their eyes trained on Kenya’s resources. Igbo people don’t marry far for nothing.

They will not move to Nigerian after the marriage is finalized because they have now found a direct ticket to Kenyan coffers through Ruto! Just about every Nigerian you find in Kenya today is involved in some criminal venture.

That is why people are very alarmed about Ruto offering the daughter to the most corrupt igbos.

Boy @ guest#5 - hope Kenyans are reading your concerns here! You are such a good student of history. Surely, Ruto will be the worst pastoralist if he ever became president! Wow you thought Moi was bad! Ruto will steal to the last penny! Ruto will kill those who dare him to stop stealing! Ruto will sell our country to the crazy Igbo thieves! Jameni - what is happening here is more dangerous that swallowing a dose of poison pills!

Kipserem (not verified)     Sun, 05/09/2021 @ 08:29am

The Nigerian if I’d have never been pastoralists in Nigeria. The Nigeria politician is lying to fit Ruto’s mold of thinking!

While igbos are somehow hard working, the Igbo people have destroyed the good name of the black people all over the world for carrying up all manner of scams and corruption. Ruto fits in Igbo corrupt way of life quite perfectly.

So DP Ruto is now in the best company of the Igbo people, the worst scammers of the universe! This marriage is prearranged for political reasons. There go the world on fire of scams and corruption which may spread like the bush fire in the harmattan all the way from Nigeria to the shores of Kenya.

He was insulting Ruto in the Nigerian proverbs. He wondered how the largest group of Nigerian Igbo cons landed at the foothills of the biggest corruption ridden pastoralist in Kenya. Igbos do not like to be over done in scamming others; but they knew Ruto’s scams and corrupt ways had overdone them! So he had to call Ruto a pastoralist to reduce his ego!

And this is the best part it all! Now Ruto knows the world is closely watching him if he attempts to burn women and children in another Kiambaa church! This Ruto pastoralist will bring all the Fulani cows to graze at the city center in Nairobi! The scamming igbos will be squarely sitting at the center of power in the Kenyan capital doing dug deals with Ruto. People beware! June marrying an Igbo man is not a small feat because of the history of conmanship with the Igbo people! Ruto must be closely watched before he sells Kenya to the Igbo!

The spouses will have to be picked if the daughter brings a known thief home! Igbo are the bustard children of the under world! They have destroyed the good name of the black people with corruption and scams across the world! They are all the reasons trump call African countries “shithole”! He was specifically referring g to the Igbo if Nigerian due to their international scams. Ruto would have told June to look for another suitor if Ruto was clean! Even other Nigerians do not marry Igbo women or men! It is the fact!

Igbo folks are very deceptive people and have terrorized the world with scams, corruption and selling dope. The Igbo moral values are at the bottom of the Barrel because of the way they have presented themselves to the world as dishonest people. Same with Ruto who has always carried a tag of corruption and dishonesty in every dealing he gets involved in. It does not matter the level of education an Igbo man has; he will still have an appetite for criminal tendencies!

@kk - your problem is the blindness of facts and things to come in case Ruto were to accidentally ascend to the high office!

Read closely and very carefully to understand why Kenyans are disgusted by this union of the corruption titans machinery of Ruto and that of the Igbo clan.

History lays it bear what the two bad fellas have done to Kenyans, Nigerians and to the whole world in terms of scams, corruption and uncivilized murders.

The union of Ruto and the Igbo is a major concern to the world because Ruto is very corrupt, and it should not be taken lightly because Ruto is aspiring to the next president of the Republic of Kenya.

So folks are just saying the honest simple facts about the Igbo people and Ruto himself! There is no hate here!

Okoruafo (not verified)     Wed, 05/12/2021 @ 12:34pm

Ruto is not able to delink himself with the corrupt igbos. Ruto’s corrupt ways of doing things matches perfectly with corrupt ways igbos do things.

A man is judged by his ways - good or bad! The only good Igbo is the late Chinua Achebe! He regularly condemned the igbos from living a shady lifestyle! Change is still yet to happen, and corruption among the igbos have ran out of control.

Nabudi (not verified)     Wed, 05/12/2021 @ 12:37pm

There are also a silently unspoken concerns among the igbos that their son is marrying a daughter of the most corrupt Kenya DP! Ruto is not a saint by any measure!
