President Uhuru Endorses Raila Odinga’s 2022 Presidential Bid

President Kenyatta has given the clearest indication that he will support ODM leader Raila Odinga’s 2022 presidential bid.

Kenyatta openly endorsed Odinga as his preferred successor during a meeting with over 3,000 youths from all the 47 counties at State House, Nairobi on Friday. The president urged the youths to rally behind and mobilize support for Odinga, who is giving his fifth stab at the presidency under the ‘Azimio La Umoja’ movement.

“As they speak about Jubilee Party’s death, you can also see what the party has been doing. We have been able to achieve much but there are some projects which are not complete, and hence as Jubilee we are now coming out of the office getting into real politics,” Uhuru is quoted by Citizen Digital.

He added: “And because some were politicking while work was ongoing, we have said we want a coalition unit of like-minded parties and together we join Azimio. We have the candidate, we have the resources and the youth are together with us.”

He hailed his March 2018 handshake with Odinga, saying it brought peace to the country and allowed his administration to achieve more development projects compared to his first term.

"In 2013 we got the opportunity and we were able to do what we did and we thank God. But 2017 was one of my worst and most difficult years. It was also my most trying time. Why? Because we were caught up in a scenario whereby the country had been divided almost down the middle. There were those who were celebrating Jubilee's win and there were those protesting at Uhuru Park. And we had to make a choice and that choice was not an easy one,” Kenyatta said.

“A lot of what we have been able to achieve has been as a result of peace. What we call the intangible that creates an atmosphere that allows work to happen.”

All Kenyan politicians are corrupt. Uhuru is corrupt, Ruto is corrupt. Hopefully Raila will change this thievery. Otherwise they can go and burn in hell,

Thank you Mr. president! We will elect a person who will help complete your development agenda, not the Surgoi hyenas salivating to rape the achieved progress and steal the country to the bones!!! This Ruto and his illeterates steal EVERYTHING bila aibu. Others steal yes, but at least leave more for wananchi development projects. Stealing is bad period. But the greedy ones can steal just a million out of 100million. Use 99million to complete earmarked projects. Ruto na ngombe zake wanaiba kila kitu! You just don't ‘OVER-STEAL’

There goes the shadows of Kenya dynasty.
Uhuru 10 tackle Ruto and pass the ball to Raila 10 who will obviously juggle the ball for awhile before heads it to inattentive Gideon Moi 10 who will get shocked and run faster with ball on his hands up to the opponent Goal post just to return the favor to Jomo Kenyatta 10.
Hit back!

Old Rickety Raila is sure bet to be a lame duck. Muite, Kiraitu and young Turks sided with Jaramogi 92 and he sure rested 94. Was a sure bet. Odinga family shall not get presidency yet by fate or design.

Mr President, majority are not with you on this one.
You say " We have a candidate, we have the resources & the youth are together with us"
You say you had to make a choice. You did that and you chose Raila.
Allow Kenyans to make a choice of either continuing with the old ways of taking the government by force ( 1982- Coup; Kibaki- Nusu Mkate; Uhuru- Nusu Mkate) or take a candidate of their choice.
You have all the resources, Kenyans have God on their side.
" Ee Mungu nguvu yetu"
Let's wait for you and your candidate's final send off home permanently to Bondo for your retirement. For most of you retirement is way overdue.

The constitution reigned supreme in 2017. After the unnecessary Maraga second election, you were sworn in by a supreme court judge as per our constitution. Yet you allowed people to go to uhuru park for a fake swearing in of Raila as "president" You chickened out. You had instruments of power but failed to defend and protect our constitution from enemies, foreign or domestic.
Miguna and Raila started to burn your portraits. They threatened to collect taxes in Nyanza. They held daily mass demos yet our constitution had done its job. Rather than stand up and protect and defend our constitution as per the oath you had taken, you chickened out. Our constitution did not envision a president and a co-president, yet that is what we have today. Raila and his daughter came for the handshake, and the second mkate-nusu began. Raila has been your co-president since handshake. You must remember this is a very violent man. Raila has never forgiven kikuyus for the death of Tom Mboya. Raila has never forgiven kikuyus for the sufferings of his father under your father's regime. Once Raila becomes president, your problems will be many. He will betray you just like he has betrayed all those political hang-ons who couldn't see the man behind the mask. They could not see the forest for the tree. You too, are blind sir.

If Ruto causes chaos after election loss, will he also get handshake from Raila... or may be Raila will get another handshake, this time from Ruto?

You once called yourself Walid but your ascent has refused you! Now it’s Warid? Listen Maina, the man of multi pseudo names including Kipngetich, Mutai, Luta etc that ICC has failed to start in Gichuru’s case. Cooked witnesses cannot testify! I know it will break your heart but that’s what it’s. Aren’t you tired already calling Ruto a thief? Why is he is free and especially in light of his superiors turned foes? And the answer is simple. He has has not stolen anything. Period.
Why don’t you call the 2 billion going by day?

Two things are expected of him- akishindwa akubali na asilete vita tena na aki'shinda' ajue atakuwa na jukumu la kuwajibika kuhusu kila jambo aliloahidi. That being said, we expect no nepotism/tribalism but inclusivity.

Ruto can’t be a good leader! We all know he has done many crimes against Kenyans and he is a known thief! Won’t vote for Ruto!

Uhuru went into the handshake with your Baba just for his selfish needs. The Luo nation had started boycotting Uhurus milk and his other family investments.
And now he is using the same Raila to reincarnate himself into power. BBI was one vehicle to make it easy to get back to power but thank judiciary for putting it to a stop.
Did Uhuru just wake up to know that Kenya has youth after all the nine years? Let him be reminded that it’s illegal to bribe the youth for the purposes of voting. He should stop using public money to either entertain or gift anyone while campaigning.
