KAG Seeks Financial Support to Rebuild Kiambaa Church Following 2008 Deadly Arson Attack

The Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) Uasin Gishu branch is seeking financial support to rebuild the Kiambaa Church.

KAG appealed to well-wishers and members of the public to help reconstruct the church that was torched at the height of the 2007/2008 post-election violence.

A notice published in a local newspaper on Friday said the local community led by Bishop Joseph Kamau Mariko of KAG Uasin Gishu have been planning to rebuild the sanctuary despite serious opposition from politicians blamed for the barbaric act that left a “permanent scar not only on survivors but the Kenya nation as a whole.”

“With God’s grace, the rebuilding of the church began last month and construction is currently underway,” a notice in the Daily Nation says.

“The committee in charge of the project is asking well-wishers to support the construction by making contributions to KAG Kiambaa project.”

The church was set on fire by raiders on January 1st, 2008, killing 35 people including women and children who were hiding inside during the 2007/2008 post-election violence.

“It has remained a monument of shame and a bitter reminder of the extremes of politically instigated ethnic hatred,” the Church adds.

Well-wishers can send their contributions via Paybill 222111 or to Family bank account 085000100123.

Now, this is where the JUDICIAL SYSTEM has failed. The folks who did this are well known, but since they belong to the HYENAS ELITE CLUB, nothing has or will ever happen to them.
These folks should have been prosecuted and their assets seized to rebuild the church and pay damages.
Unfortunately, this is the KENYA we are living in.
Molo clashes also did happen and it was the same story.
So ,let's brace for the next one because it's coming, KENYANS WILL DIE, THESE HYENAS WILL DO ANYTHING TO STAY IN POWER.

What is needed is not to rebuild a church but to build a monument as a reminder of what power greed, and ethnic hatred can and has done.

While so many died of such hatred, God says " those are a people unto myself".
For the perpetrators of those crimes,
Judgement is underway. The blood that was shed will soon be repaid - God says " vengeance is mine"!!
Patience is required on this one!!

This truly makes sense. A monument to remember those who perished, and to shame the demons of men and women, their friends, and any potential perpetrators of such, who planned and executed this genocide.

Comrade Mkenya halisi,
True to your words.
The issue is DURING colonization of AFRICA, we were divided on tribal bases, then JOMO,continued the TREND.MOI PERFECTED it. LASTLY, as KENYANS, we always vote in folks who gives us MIA BILI ,right? So,if I was to invest MIA BILI with the electorate, don't you think I will need to reap where I sowed?
We are as reliable as the folks we elect.
Back to the topic here, like I stated, the people behind these MURDERS belong to jail... PERIOD.

Who is the member of parliament and the senator representing this county in our government?

The MP and the senator should have reported this matter to our Vice President and I sincerely believe that, had he been told about it, he would have generously donated millions of shillings for the re-construction of this church.

By the way, how far is Kiambaa from the vice president's home in Eldoret? How come he has not taken the initiative to rebuild this church? it?

Wrong timing. Donations especially from politicians is banned until after elections. Otherwise, ODM party is responsible for the destruction of the former church building therefore should be mandated to rebuild.
