Raila Unveils Azimio-One Kenya Coalition Presidential Campaign Teams

The Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition party has unveiled an 11-member national presidential campaign team ahead of the August 9th elections.

The team comprises Suna East MP Junet Mohammed, Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Likoni MP Mishi Mboko, Ugunja MP Opiyo Wandayi, Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, Nominated Senator Maina Kamanda, Kieni MP Kanini Kega, Nyeri deputy governor Carol Karugu and Phillip Pande.

The national campaign team, which will be headed by the coalition’s presidential flagbearer Raila Odinga and his running mate Martha Karua, is among 16 teams that will spearhead the coalition’s campaigns across the country.

Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya will lead the Western region campaign team assisted by MPs Wafula Wamunyinyi, David Eseli, George Khaniri, Ayub Savula, Caleb Amisi, and Emmanuel Wangwe.

In the Rift Valley region, former Kenyan ambassador to Australia Stephen Tarus will head a team comprising Cheragany MP Joshua Kuttuny, KANU Secretary General Nick Salat, West Pokot Senator Samuel Poghisio, and Pokot South MP David Pkosing.

Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya will lead the Mt Kenya campaign team with the help of Muranga Women Representative Sabina Chege, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Murang’a gubernatorial aspirant Jamleck Kamau, Nyeri Senator Ephraim Maina, Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu and Laikipia Governor Ndiiritu Muriithi.

The coastal campaign team will be led by Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho assisted by Taita Taveta Governor Granton Samboja, Suleiman Shabhal, Mombasa Senator Abdulswamad Shariff, Omar Boga, Gideon Mung’aro, and Ganze MP Teddy Mwambire, among others.

Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi and Public Service and Gender CAS Rachael Shebesh will be in charge of the Nairobi campaign team joined by gubernatorial candidate Polycarp Igathe, ODM secretary-general Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang, and Mathare MP Antony Aluoch.

In the Ukambani region, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana will lead a team made up of Kitui Women Representative Rachel Nyamai and Machakos Gubernatorial Hopeful Nzioka Waita among others.

The campaigns in the Maa community will be led by Kajiado Governor Joseph Ole Lenku with the help of Narok Senator Ledama Ole Kina, Narok North MP Moitalel Ole Kenta, and Kajiado Central MP Memusi Kanchori among others.

Treasury CS Ukur Yatani and businessman Feisal Abass will lead Raila’s campaign in the Northern Eastern region while the Nyanza region team will be headed by Kisii Governor James Ongwae, Suba South MP Mbadi and Kisii gubernatorial hopeful Simba Arati.

Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, Homabay Women Rep. Gladys Wanga and Rahab Muilu will lead women groups within the Azimio coalition while the youth groups will be under the leadership of Nominated Senator Isaac Ngugi and Philip Pande.

How come Wangari who challenged a former central bank governor,expired Ndegwa to prove he is circumcised is now deputizing another Ndegwa?Ndegwa was a fool+++++ died after circumcising himself after all the doctors he approached declined to cut the KOFIA as he could not survive the breeding due to diabetes.
