Moses Kuria to Permanently Delete His Twitter Account After Ruto’s Swearing-in

Former Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria is set to permanently delete his Twitter account following the swearing-in of President Ruto.

Kuria, who unsuccessfully contested for the Kiambu gubernatorial seat in the just concluded general election, made the announcement on the account on Tuesday morning.

"My objective has been achieved. My good friend William Ruto is the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya. This account will be permanently deleted on Wednesday 14th September 2022 at 18:00 hours. It was great interaction guys. Adios!" Kuria tweeted.

The account, which was created in October 2015, has 336,000 followers.

Kuria’s announcement comes a day after outgoing Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i deactivated his Twitter account, shortly after Ruto assumed office as the fifth president of the Republic of Kenya.

His account, which had more than 1.3 million followers, went blank and could no longer be accessed on the social media platform.

Matiang’i, who served in four different ministries under the Jubilee administration, backed Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga in the August 9th general election.
