Stop Comparing Jaramogi With Raila, Miguna Miguna Tells Kenyans
Lawyer Miguna Miguna has warned Kenyans not to draw parallels between the first vice president of Kenya Jaramogi Oginga Odinga and his son and Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
According to Miguna, the only link between the two is their DNA, a set of molecules that pass on genetic traits. He suggested that if someone wanted to create discord between the Luo community and the William Ruto-led administration, they must first explain the 1969 Kisumu massacre. The incident happened when the Founding President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta visited Kisumu, a stronghold of Jaramogi, and a commotion ensued on the presidential podium.
As a result of the chaos, the presidential guards and police officers shot more than 50 people. Miguna's statement comes after Raila allies declared a plan to hold counter rallies in Homa Bay during William Ruto's visit to the region. On Saturday, Ruto is scheduled to go to Karachuonyo sub-county for the thanksgiving ceremony of Interior PS Raymond Omollo at Oriwo Boys High School.
Government representatives including cabinet members, principal secretaries, and members of parliament are anticipated to be present at the gathering at Kanyipir village. The outspoken lawyer Miguna Miguna has spoken out against the unruly behaviour which occurred during the demonstrations on Wednesday throughout the nation. In a declaration given Wednesday evening, Miguna asserted that Kenyans and the supporters of Azimio have the right to be angry with the government for not handling their issues, however, resorting to violence should not be an option.
"Fellow Kenyans, destroying the highways, roads and property you paid for with your taxes and whose repair and reconstruction you will pay for isn’t the most productive way to express your anger. You have a right to protest peacefully. Not to cause mayhem and havoc. Remember that tomorrow, it’s your taxes that will pay for what you have destroyed," he said.

Now that you got back your Kenyan citizenship, you are now quiet, content, and happily settled back in your country of birth. What about the many other Kenyans who have been waiting patiently for years to have their Kenyan citizenship restored back to them but to no avail? Why can't you fight for them?
I suggest that your friend X Samoei assign the post of restoring Kenyan citizenship to you as a result of your experiences in suffering under the previous government of Uhuru Ngina Kamau on this issue. I remember quite vividly the many fruitless attempts you made in order to return back to Kenya and failed miserably until your friend X Samoei reinstated your Kenyan citizenship as soon as he occupied our State House as the president of Kenya.
I suggest that Samoei appoint you to the position of reinstating thousands of Kenyans their Kenyan citizenship so that you can facilitate their paperwork in becoming Kenyan citizens again within a period of less than three months from the time they initiate the process.

Jaramogi was cool and patriotic despite mistake of saying Jomo tosha when told to form govt. He didn't bless Rao and cursed him for violence during his meeting to overthrow Kijana wamalwa from Ford Kenya. Rao hasn't changed since then. Rao shall never forever be president.
