Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi Faces Permanent Supreme Court Ban

The Supreme Court has permanently banned Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi from appearing before them due to his persistent criticism of judges and the Judiciary.
In a statement, the seven-judge panel of the Supreme Court has affirmed their disapproval of the lawyer, stating that he too seeks justice from the very institution and judges that he constantly undermines. The judges recognize that this verdict would unavoidably impact individuals who have sought his representation in court. Mr Abdullahi, a former member of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), has been openly condemning corrupt judges without explicitly naming anyone.
Last year, former Chief Justice David Maraga and his colleagues warned senior lawyers about the consequences of unfounded and continuous criticisms against the Court. Deputy Registrar of the Supreme Court Ms. Letizia Wachira highlighted the significance of having a representative or a proxy in such situations. In line with President William Ruto's plea for substantial measures to combat corruption in the justice system, Mr Abdullahi has responded by emphasizing that corruption has reached unprecedented levels in the nation's history.
In an interview with Nation, Mr Abdullahi says that one of the main recommendations he offered to the President before his election pertained to the corruption within the judiciary. He conveys his concerns about the widespread corruption, highlighting that the current state of the judiciary is not viable for the future.

think this is the wrong move. The judges mentioned in false light should have sued for defamation if they could show falsity and malicious publication by lawyer Ahmednasir Adullahi but not bar him from appearing before the court as a lawyer represeting his clients. That is cruel and vindictive, and should be beneath the honorable image of the supreme court of Kenya. The epic court should not show anger and frustration amounting into cencorship of the citizens. The courts should use the justice system to prove the lawyer wrong and impose sanctions accordingly. If the court sets this precedent, no future well meaning lawyer/ person will have the audacity to critcize the court for fear of retribution even when the court errors.

The Supreme Court is having own cake and eating it too. The court is exhibiting a dictatorial tendencies by not giving the lawyer due process in court. It’s safe to say we all know there’s corruption in every arm of government. Supreme Court cannot absolve itself from criticism. As for now if Ahmednasir had a case as person, and going with this, there’s no way he could get justice.

To those ascribing the ruling to being female, what does being female have to do with anything? The most corrupt people, the most murderous, the worst dictators, the most genocidal, the most violent, most serial killers, are with with very few exceptions men. What would you ascribe this to? By all means call the judiciary out for corruption but don't pretend this is a new thing or caused by a woman leading it.

My contention, and it's valid, is that blaming gender for behavior really doesn't make sense given the innumerable examples of men who have been acting on impulse and emotion for millenia. Incompetence, irrationality, insecurity, ego etc are very well represented in men. Trump, Moi, Amin, Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pinochet, Bokassa, any North Korean leader, Mussolini all men, all insecure. The only woman to start a war was Thatcher after Argentina claimed the Falklands, Golda Meir's Israel was attacked in 67 and 73 both by male led governments. If she is incompetent, don't blame her gender, just call her clueless or ignorant.

@mundumugo - behind every one of those men you have unflatteringly mentioned stood a lunatic woman who drove them to behave and act crazy! Examples are so many to even scribe those women’s names here! Wasn’t there a chick who shacked with Hitler??

How old is this guy called Mundumugo? He is talking of 1967 when he was an old man like it was 1999 with the singer Prince and the Purple Rain! Is he a historian? He is dropping names of people no one have ever heard about. Who is goddom Maiyana, and Butchery?? Being born in 2002 makes me feel like a damn kid! Even Prince has been long dead. How old is @Mundumugo?

Happy to explain - The language of the aGīkūyū is written in the Latin alphabet. Gīkūyū has seven vowels. Those accents above the u and i change the pronunciation of the vowel. If I spell Mūgo as Mugo, the pronunciation would be akin to the u in Ruto. As for the dates, history has a terrible habit of repeating itself so I read up on it as a hobby. Think of the way you refer to Jesus. Even though you weren't there, the historical text you have read has educated you about his existence and teachings not though most of his followers rarely adhere to them. As for your youth, that just means time is on your side.

There are thousands of women who have murdered others. One can be a murderer without physically killing people!
What Koome did during the 2022 presidential elections ruling is worse than taking a gun and shooting a majority of Kenyans; the most downtrodden hustlers. Are they not crying now while Koome is riding in a V8 SUV from Ruto?? She a major problem of all the bad things happening to Kenyans today.

The judiciary stooped low long time ago! It is the reason you see Ruto and Riggy liberally attacking them because they are all dirty politicians. As a matter of fact, they are all crooks!
