Murder suspect Kevin Kinyanjui Kang’ethe is currently in the presence of an individual believed to be his brother and both of their phones are turned off.
Last Thursday, Kang'ethe managed to escape lawful custody at the Muthaiga Police Station and subsequently met up with his brother, who detectives now believe was the mastermind behind the escape plan. Kang'ethe had been detained at the police station as part of a case to determine whether he would be extradited to the United States, where he is wanted for the murder of his girlfriend, Ms Margaret Mbitu. A detective from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) who is knowledgeable about the ongoing investigations says that the two individuals were in each other's company on the same day that the murder suspect escaped from Muthaiga Police Station.
It is believed that he coordinated his escape with the assistance of his brother, who has now disappeared along with Kang'ethe. They have turned off their phones to avoid being detected. The events leading up to Kang'ethe's escape from the Muthaiga Police Station unfolded with such precision that it caught law enforcement off guard. Kang'ethe took advantage of a moment of opportunity to slip away from custody. Detectives are now actively pursuing Kang'ethe, who managed to slip away unnoticed and disappear without a trace. His escape not only caused embarrassment for Kenyan authorities but also highlighted potential security weaknesses.
In a surprising twist, city lawyer Beatrice Ng’ethe was arrested by DCI investigators in connection with Kang'ethe's escape. Although she has been released on bail, she remains a person of interest in the ongoing investigation. Her alleged communication with Kang'ethe before his escape has raised suspicions about her involvement in the elaborate plan. As Ng’ethe went about preparing breakfast in her home, she was taken by surprise when DCI officers showed up without warning. Their badges did little to ease her concerns as they led her into their investigation. The security footage captured a peculiar sight as the officers skillfully avoided being seen by the cameras, adding an air of mystery to Ng’ethe's apprehension.
Even her friend, who was present during the arrest, was briefly detained before being released, highlighting the relentless pursuit of justice. The subsequent interrogation of Ng’ethe at Kiambu Police Station deviated from the usual procedures, causing her family and legal colleagues to raise eyebrows in concern. The abrupt termination of communication with her family only heightened their anxiety, leaving them desperate for answers. Their frantic search for Ng’ethe's whereabouts was met with obstacles at every turn, as attempts to seek clarification from law enforcement proved fruitless, intensifying their distress. In response to Ng’ethe's arrest and the implications it had for the legal profession, the Law Society of Kenya vowed to rally support and protest against the perceived injustice.
LSK President Eric Theuri denounced the arrest as an insult to the legal community, urging unity and action in defence of their colleague. The intricate connections and events surrounding Kang'ethe's escape highlight the complexity of criminal investigations and the difficulties faced by law enforcement in seeking justice. Meanwhile, Kang'ethe and his brother continue to elude capture, as authorities work tirelessly to apprehend them. As time ticks away, the sense of urgency grows, adding to the tension surrounding this widely-publicized case.

So lawyer NG'ETHE🥱 is KaNG'ETHE🤓's sister. Hmmmmm!!!🤔
I was wondering the same thing since their names sounded so similar.
Police should forthwith stop harassing anyone who had contact with the escapee. In fact they were help initially into finding and arresting the suspect.
And so they failed in their part in keeping custody of him. They didn’t not protect or keep the suspect in safe custody. No one knows even at this point if he 6 escaped or there’s a foul play by the police. He might have been disappeared! His parents should be suing the police for either negligence or forceful disappearance of their son. I believe everyone was waiting for him to face justice for what he is alleged to have done.
The police laxity or complicity in the escape or disappearance of the accused is an outright impediment to justice.
THIS GUY NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF THE STREETS AND GET HIS SMALL BALLS SQUEEZED BY DCI.
Quote: “His escape not only caused embarrassment for Kenyan authorities but also highlighted potential security weaknesses”! 🙄!
Just call it what it is! CORRUPTION! Police got paid handsomely to allow the fugitive to escape!
Why are the DCIs arresting the lawyer? They should arrest all the police officers that aided his escape! It’s a whole cartel involving bosses as well.
The way he is running around as hiding, he is more than a suspect. He killed his girlfriend.Blood is thinker than water does not extend to criminal activities. And to the brother aiding the criminal, think about the crime committed and family of the victim.
He's become a rabbit playing hide and seek. Liberal constitution is the problem. Every offense is bailable
Why all these nonsensical leaks??? If the corrupt inept Kenyan police knows where the murderer is hiding, then what the hell are they waiting for????
