Martha Karua Accuses Raila Odinga of Hypocrisy

Kirinyaga Gubernatorial contestant Martha Karua has accused National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga of hypocrisy in the ongoing discussion on land ownership.
The Nark-Kenya said that in 2012, when Raila was the Prime Minister, accompanied by then Lands Minister James Orengo, they visited Kajiado County where the community land issue was raised, but he failed to follow up the matter.
"I recall Raila ordering Orengo to take up the matter immediately but the minister responded that since it was a weekend, the affected locals should bring their tittle deeds to his office the following week... the matter ended there. Raila didn’t bother following the matter"
According to Karua, it was hypocrisy for the former Prime Minister to go back to the same venue and make such wild allegations on a matter, he together with James Orengo failed to address, when they had the chance.
Karua told Raila to stop channeling the blame on the Jubilee administration since he had all the power as Prime Minister to end the historical injustices in Maasailand.
Karua was reacting to Odinga’s statement where he was quoted promising to address the land issues in Maasailand that the Jubilee administration has failed to address, if he is elected in the August 8 polls.
