President Kenyatta Hands Immediate Former Attorney-General Githu Muigai a Top State Job

Immediate former Attorney-General professor Githu Muigai has landed a top parastatal job weeks after his resignation from the State Law office.
Muigai, who resigned from his position last month, has been appointed as the new chair of the Council for Legal Education. His appointment comes days after he handed over the State Law office to new Attorney-General Kihara Kariuki.
Other individuals who have been appointed to head government corporations by President Kenyatta include former Labor Cabinet Secretary Kazungu Kambi and former Inspector General of Police David Kimaiyo.
Kambi, who was fired by President Uhuru after corruption allegations, has been named the chairman of the board of the Coast Development Authority.
Former Interior Principal Secretary Mutea Iringo has been reinstated to public service as National Cereals and Produce Board's chair.
Former Karachuonyo MPJames Rege has been appointed to chair the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company, while Kimaiyo will head Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) board.
