Notorious Kenyan Drug Trafficker, JKUAT Girlfriend Arrested

A suspected Kenyan drug trafficker who has been on police radar since May this year was over the weekend arrested in Nairobi.

Police officers nabbed the suspect named Hillary Wanjiku Wachira along Limuru Road in Nairobi following a tip-off from members of the public.

Authorities described Wachira as a notorious drug dealer who operates in secrecy and impunity, adding that he mainly sells drugs to slum dwellers and university students.

“Wachira is a notorious drug dealer who operates in secrecy to avoid being detected by law enforcement officers. He is one of the many traffickers in the country selling drugs with impunity to slum dwellers and university students,” police said.

Upon interrogation, Wachira led detectives to his house in Juja, Kiambu County where his girlfriend, Caroline Nyambura Gituma was apprehended.

Nyambura, a student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), was found in possession of several sachets of heroin, according to The Standard.

Wachira had been arrested in May this year in Mathare area, Nairobi with heroin packages but managed to escape, police said.

“In May 2019 Wachira had been arrested within Nairobi’s Mathare area with heroin packages, he later escaped from police custody under mysterious circumstances leading to the issuance of a warrant of arrest against him,” added police.

The two are set to be arraigned in court as further investigations continue.

Escaped mysteriously twice? Who are you fooling!!!! Drug trafficking in Kenya is a cartel that involves politicians and police. Just tell us he was released secretly from police custody.
