Mike Sonko Hits Back at EACC over Probe on Unexplained Wealth

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has reacted to reports that he is being probed by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) over illicitly acquired wealth.

On Tuesday, EACC Chairman Eliud Wabukala said Sonko and three others are under investigation over unexplained wealth amounting to Sh11.5 billion.

The others are Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal and former Governors Ferdinand Waititu (Kiambu) and Evans Kidero (Nairobi).

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Sonko rubbished the alleged probe, stating that he started owning and selling property while still in school.

“Being silent is not being foolish kwani owning property in this country is a problem? I started owning, buying and selling property when I was in school and before I became the Governor,” he wrote.

He further accused EACC of being biased, questioning why the agency has not taken any action against its former top official, who was implicated in the COVID billionaires scandal.

“Kwani what have you done to the former EACC boss who was involved in the Kemsa Covid Billionaires scandal. What have you done to one of your current bosses who was involved in the grabbing of a County school playground in South C?” Sonko posed.

He added: “What have you done with your former and current bosses who were involved in the fraudulent sale of Integrity Centre at an exaggerated price at the expense of taxpayers?”

The court of public opinion will not help you! You stole our money alone and so now wait for your judgment day to come so you can pay for your crimes! Those papers you are holding are fake! Dude, be real!

Jambazi Sonko should consult the DEA/FBI and confess how he and kina Joho,Mwau,Wambui,Kabogo,Nyaga,Punjan,Wanjala etc sponsor election campaigns for majambazi Kalonzo,Uhuru,Ruto and gaidi Raila using drug money.Plea bargain would be easier for him if he volunteer than wait for his arrest as they are all on radar after being mentioned by the jailed Akasha brothers.

But he is right. Let them answer what they are do to recover the Kemsa billions from those they questioned. It's a shame that we got so much from our friends like Jack Ma and all we see is Murathe arriving at DCI and then leaving a happy billionaire to brag of making money by 'signing' for his Chinese friends to steal!!!!!

Great valid questions worth getting real answers to! Everyone must be investigated and deal with fairly. Almost every Kenyan is corrupt!
