4 Injured as Chopper Crashes Shortly After Dropping Raila Off in Siaya

Four people sustained minor injuries after a helicopter that ferried ODM leader Raila Odinga to Siaya County on Sunday crashed.

In a statement, Odinga’s spokesperson Dennis Onyango said the chopper crashed shortly after dropping Odinga and his entourage of four people at Kudho Primary School in Gem from Kisumu.

“The Helicopter, Bell 407, registration number 5Y-PSM, had dropped Mr. Odinga at Kudho Primary School in Gem when it attempted to lift off to create space for other planes. Unfortunately, it crashed,” the statement reads.

There were no fatalities as the pilot and four others who were on board escaped with minor injuries.

“Odinga successfully proceeded with his scheduled activities with the president,” the statement adds.

Odinga had earlier welcomed President Kenyatta to Kisumu as he kicked off his three-day working tour of the Nyanza region.

The two later commissioned the Kodiaga-Wagai-Onyinyore/Akala, and Nyangweso-Muhanda Roads in Siaya County.

The Sh1.6 billion road network is expected to open up the fish and sugarcane-rich region to markets in Kisumu and beyond.

How privy that the money used to buy the chopper was ‘stolen’? Your anger will impoverish you. Obviously small minds wish death on anyone and everyone carelessly. Hope defuncting the BBI will make you rich!

Very well said. Personally I like the ring of Amina. Thers been some relly nice songs that depict Amina in many African culttural expressions. In Mada, they have the classic Amina by Jaojoby and mainland you have Aminata in lingala folklore.
I have never partook in any of them...may be different if i was offered -just sayin
