We Don't Have Jobs for You, Gachagua Tells Graduates

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has warned university graduates that the government does not have jobs for them.
Speaking at a graduation ceremony at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology on Friday, the Deputy President said the graduates stand to benefit from the Housing Fund, which will create employment opportunities. The DP mentioned that the controversial Fund will see the Nation build 200,000 houses every year.
"I am an honest man, I don't want to sit here and lie to you that we have jobs for you, these jobs we are going to create together with you. This is a University of Science and Technology our MPs aggressively passed the Finance Bill, 2023 to create the Housing Fund." Gachagua said.
The DP asserted that JKUAT alumni will be the big beneficiaries of the Housing Fund. He also said that those who will be left out after the Housing Fund employees are chosen will have to focus on business. Gachagua urged them to maintain a positive mindset towards whatever they do.
"Your parents were not employed by anybody, 70 per cent of them but through hard work, creative and innovative thinking they have seen you through to university, you are ten times better than your parents," he said.
He further encouraged the graduates that the employment world is not that ruined. He stated that life is not easy, but with a bit of patience, they will achieve what they desire, despite the nation grappling with unemployment and a high cost of living. Meanwhile, President William Ruto has continued to tout the Finance Bill 2023, promising to create jobs through the housing fund.

Mr. Deputy president, that is not good news for the graduating class.Shrouding your words with'Iam an honest man' does not lull the feeling of hopelessness your speech triggered.Graduating students should be given words of hope, and encouragement. Talking of honesty, how can you tell students who have barely graduated that "these jobs we are going to create together with you".These graduates have no experience. They need jobs to get the experience.
I wonder if you mixed up your speeches. If you are talking about creating jobs, this is the wrong audience. This one is for those soon to be job seekers.I now understand why your boss said that a million job seekers should look for work outside Kenya bounderies.

Brother Max just remember these infamous conversation starters:
I don't mean to be a jerk...- always followed by being a jerk, Frankly...- always followed by lies, got a minute - never takes just a minute and involves unpleasantness and the best of them, We need to talk - nothing good ever follows. There is of course "tell me the truth, I promise I won't be mad"

Jack the ripper, doomsayer himself. Negativity oozes through this man's veins. Isn't there a way to encourage graduates with a positive speech like most key speakers do even when economies worldwide are reeling . Bure kabisa!

So they will buy houses as unemployed graduates and provide their degrees as collateral.💁🏿What a load of BS 😸how will they benefit and what magic jobs are these that you are going to create that have not already been created. People have been building houses since time immemorial. What matters to them now is a job not a house for what 😼how will they pay for the utilities if they are jobless and who told you all the jobs you magically create will benefit from their skills. You are looking for ways to steal even more so that you can keep eating lobster at statehouse and your boss can hire his cronies as useless CAS ‘s at a salary of over 500000 per month so that you can stay in power.Politics is such a dirty game. Are people not paying the hustler loans fast enough for you ama your boss was given the cold shoulder what with his tanga tangaing all over the globe promising dead end jobs to young naive Kenyans and begging for loans.

Mr. Gachagua, it's time to change the system of education.
A graduate who has spent thousands of shillings to get that education expects a return on his investment ( both money and time).
Are you telling Kenyans the education system you and your government has prescribed for Kenyans is a "Dead end education"?
It's time to review and revisit this type of education.
Let us recall that Westerman influence on educational thought was considerable. He advanced the view that..." Any education that does not take into consideration the inseparable unity between the African and the African lineage is based on false principles and must lead to the alienation of the individual from his own self, his principles and his past"
This is exactly where our graduates find themselves:
No resources because they paid for the useless education, some are in debt, no jobs because that was the wrong type of education.
They find themselves at the dead end of a prescribed education.
Kenyans wake up!!

I wonder how those graduates went home feeling. Here second in command comes tells you on graduation day that there's no job. Giving hope to anyone in very important. Infact no hope no life. Gachagua himself is hoping to be dp for 2nd term. All he needs to do is to encourage those young graduates.

Gachagua, “Ruto and I just realized that campaigning is easier than governing!
We are going to launch a campaign to tour the country telling you how the finance bill is your ‘mama na baba!’”
“The finance bill will solve all your problems! Financial, medical, physical, etc!”
“That’s the reason why we passed it! Because it’s a cure for all the ills that Uhuru left behind!”
“I particularly love this finance bill because I have been promised that there’s another Ksh 200 million for me!” “That’s why I am very proud of this bill, and you should too!!”
Thank you Kenyans! See you next time when I am cashing my check!!

Blaming the previous regime for inability to solve ecomonic, and other social problmes is a cheap cop out,or excuse for failure to provide solutions.
I dont remember Mr.Gachagua voicing his opposition, leading protests,or writing to the media opposing, and pointing out what Uhuru was doing wrong. As a patriot you should have alerted wanachi to the "evils" of Uhuru then. Not after he had left office.
