The Environment Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has criticized elected leaders and Kenyans who frequently insult President William Ruto.
In his address at the 47th graduation ceremony of the Kenya Forestry College in Londiani, Kericho County, CS Duale emphasized the critical importance of maintaining respect for authority as a cornerstone of dignified leadership and national unity. The Cabinet Secretary articulated that true leadership, rooted in decency and spiritual values, necessitates a fundamental respect for those in positions of authority. He drew a direct correlation between showing respect for national leadership and earning respect in one's personal and professional life.
Duale expressed concern over the deterioration of civility in political discourse, noting the increasing prevalence of verbal attacks on the president by both politicians and citizens. Against the backdrop of rising tensions within the Kenya Kwanza coalition, Duale calls for renewed unity and support for President Ruto's agenda. He urges coalition members, especially those who have distanced themselves from the President, to recommit to their shared campaign promises and work collectively towards fulfilling them.
The Cabinet Secretary also cautions government officials against publicly contradicting or undermining the presidency on crucial national issues, stressing the importance of accountability and collaborative effort in delivering results for the Kenyan people. The graduation ceremony, which saw over 200 students receive diplomas in forestry management, conservation, and environmental science, provided a platform for Duale to highlight the necessity of bipartisan cooperation in addressing Kenya's challenges. He emphasized that the nation's problems transcend political affiliations and require a united effort from both the ruling party and the opposition.
Duale called on former political rivals to align their efforts in pursuit of sustainable solutions to issues ranging from environmental degradation to food insecurity. In his address, Duale also reiterated the crucial role of the forestry sector in combating climate change and supporting sustainable development goals. He expressed confidence in the graduates' ability to contribute significantly to these efforts, noting that their education and expertise would be instrumental in providing innovative solutions to environmental challenges.
The Cabinet Secretary emphasized the dual impact of forestry in both environmental conservation and economic development, particularly at the community level. Acknowledging the current global economic challenges, Duale encouraged the graduates to embrace innovation and actively participate in national development initiatives.

Mwizi Ruto?
That shameless thief and mass murderer should insulted and beaten up by everyone in the world.
He's trash.
That thief William Kalejinga Ruto belongs in jail.
Both Duale & Mwizi Ruto are garbage.
Thieves & mass murderous.
Takataka movement.
Insults shouldn't be Ruto's main concern, his worries should be holding on to power till 2027. Kenyans are sick and tired of him.
Al Shabaab guy should be organizing how to remove the bloated corrupt government. He should use his gang to eliminate(after seizing all their properties)thugs Ruto,Raila,Ûhuru,Wanjîgî,all corrupt present/past ministers, governors, senators,MPs etc magashia without further ado.
In today's Daily Nation there is an article about how powerful men thwarted, and helped to with draw scandalous corrupt cases that involved their high ranking officials and friends.
Ruto has known this for along time, and his administration has done nothing. It has infact perpetuated the vice...
So why should he not be"insulted".
People are generally insulted when they do something bad,or are irresponsible. Insults are aform of punishment much like shaming is.
I hope Iam not insulting you when I say, drink a glass of camel urine to clear your mind.I assume that you are a true Muslim who follows the teaching of your prophet.
Do you think talking the way you are(protecting-Ruto) will endear you to Ruto and probably not fire you,or may be look the other way when your scandal blows up?
We respect the position of the presidency. That never changes. It is the one who occupies that seat has to answer to the masses. And if he behaves badly, he desecrated that position.
Finally, I would hope that Duale is not in a suttle manner advocating for Sharia law In Kenya, where when you Insult a certain prophet could cost you the loss of head.
Mr. Duale,
Kenyans are very happy and will support the president.
1. Mr Ruto has decided to have the Kenyan youth design our education system, from grade one all the way to college ( These are alot of jobs for the youth).
2. Mr Ruto has decided to have our youth make Kiswahili the official language and teach it.
3. Mr Ruto has decided to include atleast two local languages in every school-our school curriculum subjects to be studied so Kenyans can learn about fellow Kenyans and have respect for each other.( These languages will be taught by our youth in different schools)
4. Mr. President has decided to have our youth manage and carry out the different projects in different areas of the country.
5. Mr President has decided to stop all imports until further notice especially on luxury cars and anything that can be made in Kenya.
6. Mr President has decided, no politician will ever open a project
7. Mr. President has decided to have no new development projects until all debts are paid and all projects previously opened have been completed.
8. The President has decided not to talk about foreign jobs to Kenyans and not to talk or send any more youths outside of Kenya for foreign jobs but to create jobs at home.
9. The President and all his broad based government partners have promised not to take any more trips outside the country until his end of the term.
10. President has decided to stop all sale of Kenyan assets.
11. The President has decided not to talk about what he intends to accomplish but to only talk about what he has accomplished.
12. The President has promised that his politicians will stop gossiping about other politicians in public to repair the image of our country both within and without. ( That his broad based government will leave petty politics about gossiping about each other behind- that his new broad government will be mature and lead the way)
13. The President has promised not to take any more loans.
14. The President has promised to fund the translation of the constitution to all Kenyan languages by the end of year 2025.
15. The President and his broad based government has promised not to donate any money to anyone or to any organization anymore and when they decide to do so, to tell Kenyans what sector of the government had excess money that it was able to forfeit some of it.
16. The government has promised to provide a detailed budget to each county, available for every mwananchi to be able to see, and the funding of the same.
17. Mr President has promised to go after corruption in Kenya and pay all debts using that money.
With this good vision for Kenyans and its implementation, that will restart jobs in Kenya.
Mr. Duale, let everyday politics be about what the government has accomplished and not about individuals in government. The image of politicians talking about each other ,about giving money in church and about a region, is making Kenya a laughing stock in the world.
All Kenyans need to stop any politician praising himself or disparaging another.
Kenyans only want to know and see for themselves what is being done. They don't need to hear.
That is protected speech. Mafi wewe. If you don’t want insults do what you were elected to do, not sell airports. Kumbafu
